Resumo: (Community)

The hosting organization will be the host organization in this volunteering project. It is a youth-centered NGO based in Albania, with a long-standing commitment to empowering young people and strengthening community life. Since its establishment in 2006, the organization has worked closely with youth, local institutions, and communities to create meaningful opportunities for participation, learning, and social impact.

Volunteering is at the heart of our work. Through active involvement in community actions, such as environmental initiatives, local events, and social projects, young people gain practical skills while building a strong sense of responsibility, solidarity, and belonging.

Our vision is to nurture a generation of active, informed, and engaged citizens who contribute to positive change in their communities and beyond, guided by values of inclusion, cooperation, and sustainable development.

Perfil: + Your age is from 18 to 30
+ you are a young with fewer opportunities (https://sve.proatlantico.com/faqs)
+ Interested in getting to know and cooperate with other young volunteers from different countries
+ You want to live for 3 weeks in the beautiful rural and coastal area of Darezëze, explore the local surroundings, meet the community, and enjoy life near the beach
+ You want to improve your practical and manual skills, your group work competencies and your sense of initiative

Tarefas: + Beach & Forest Clean-Ups: Cleaning plastic and other waste from the beach area and forest.
+ Support for the Wheat Festival: Supporting the infrastructure and logistics of the annual Wheat Festival held in June,
helping with event setup and organization.
+ Planting & Harvesting Activities: Assisting local farmers with seasonal agricultural activities, including planting,
harvesting, and learning about local farming practices
+ Wood & Handcraft Activities: Creating and painting forest signs, combining creativity with practical skills to support
environmental awareness in the area.

During the three weeks, you may be divided into two teams and rotate between tasks, so you can try different activities and keep things engaging.

Important: The programme is flexible and it may be that some of the tasks will be replaced. Be ready to experience
yourself in different fields.

Selection of the volunteers, preparation for the travel.
At this stage volunteers will receive support from our coordinators and facilitators

Volunteering Time
Volunteers and coordinators and implement the program as described above. They also have the chance to discover the local area in their free time and to enjoy local events. They make a plan on how to use what they learned once back home.

June-July 2026
Follow-Up
Volunteers are back in their countries, we will support them with implementing the plan they decided previously. They also share on their socials outcomes produced in the project, and complete other follow up tasks

The usual workload is 35 volunteering hours/week, 5 days per week.

Condições: Pocket Money
You will receive 6€/day for your living money. That is not a payment for the support given, but a flat rate refund for
small expenses.

Travel reimbursement

There is a budget to reimburse the travel of the volunteers depending on the distantance of their place of residence, calculated with the Distance Calculator
10 - 99 km = 28€
100 - 499 km = 211€
500 - 1999 km = 309€
2000 - 2999 km = 395€
3000 - 3999 km = 580€

Food & accommodation
Participants will stay together in a shared villa. The hosts, who also live on-site, will prepare daily meals for the group. Dietary needs will be carefully considered, with vegetarian options available and allergies fully accommodated.

Insurance
Besides the European Health insurance card, you are going to be offered private volunteering insurance HENNER.

Local transports

The beach, the forest, and the small market are within walking distance from the village. There is also a bus line connecting the village to the center at least 5 times a day. Exact schedules will be shared with the participants.
