Resumo: (Youth Work)
The hosting organization is a governmental, non-profit unit, which works under the Municipality.
The office gets mainly funding from municipality, and for some projects from Government and European Union.

It works mainly in these areas:
+ Offering free time and sports activities for the locals
+ Organising events and trips
+ Support for events, which the locals and students from abroad
+ youth informationin the municpality
+ hobby possibilities
+ support of organization work
+ cultural events
+ offering a place for the youth (youth centre)

The office works in many different areas and is actively working with local organisations, projects and authorities trying to improve the quality and amount of free time and leisure possibilities in the area. The office is a member of Municipality.

In the area of sports youth and Sport sunit provides the locals a positive atmosphere to improve moving habits, by trying to awake positive thoughts about exercising and by developing a wide range of activity possibilities.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

- social, outgoing and easy to approach!
- willing to work and play with kids and youngsters
- responsible, always finishes the given tasks
- open-minded, creativity appreciated to break through the language borders
- represents Ranua youth workers in front of local partners, kids and youngsters
- flexible, since there can be sudden changes to schedules
- motivated to do all kinds of working tasks
- able to follow schedules, since it is important to be on time when there is a certain timetable
- has positive energy - has a survivor attitude towards the rural circumstances and location :)

Tarefas: Most of the working hours are spend at the youth house during open evenings & events. Main focus of youth house is to have a place for the youngsters where they can come to spend time and make new friends.

Prepare to: during dark long winter

Volunteer will be accommodating in an old school building, which is located 1,5 kilometers from the center of the village. Building includes everything you need for living, like own kitchen, laundry machines and shower. There's a lunch offered at local school every working day during school lunch times. In addition to that, volunteer will be offered a food allowance to do groceries and prepare meals by themselves.
