Resumo: (Volunteering in a Language Kindergarten)

In this private kindergarten, there is a possibility for children to learn English and other foreign languages.
The kindergarten also offers different kinds of learning possibilities for children: sports classes, music and shows, workshops on etiquette, ecology, culture and technology; meetings with artists, book authors, painters and musicians; travel and culinary activities.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
+ loves working with children
+ is open to accepting other cultures, personalities and different ways of life
+ is motivated to learn Polish and discover Polish culture
+ is friendly and helpful
+ is proactive (you want to propose ideas, engage with children)
+ has some experience in scouting / voluntary work /baby-sitting
+ is responsible and reliable
+ has a positive attitude towards potential challenges of living abroad

Tarefas: You will introduce your culture to children through:
+ interactive and fun language activities of your choice to teach children basic phrases in your language (e.g. numbers, colors, animals, etc.);
+ playing music from your country and potentially teaching them your country’s traditional dances;
+ doing cooking activities with children to make them discover your country’s cuisine;
+ engaging in celebrating holidays together with children (e.g. Christmas party, Children's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc.);
+ running fun activities for children during family picnics.

You will support teachers in the daily life of the kindergarten through:
+ helping children to dress up when going outside;
+ playing with children;
+ keeping an eye on children to maintain classroom safety.


What are you not expected to do?
+ to take on full teacher’s responsibilities;
+ to manage a classroom alone;
+ to compensate for any lack of staff in the kindergarten;

Horário: Monday to Friday

30h a week (6h a day)

+ 5h extra to participate in promotional events (not every month, only when we have extra events outside your hosting organisation, they typically start from April)

Daily hours: 09:00 - 15:00 or 08:30 - 14:30
Soup and lunch are provided, but quantities may vary depending on the kindergarten. You may need to bring additional food if necessary

Condições: Polish language classes: twice a week, 1h30 per class
Pocket and food money: 6 EUR a day = roughly 180 EUR a month + 600 PLN a mont
Accommodation: a place in a double room in a flat shared with other participants with Internet access, equipped kitchen, clean towels and bedsheets
Food: breakfast, lunch and soup are provided by the kindergarten
Insurance: Henner insurance
Travel: reimbursement for travel costs to and from Poland. The amount is based on the distance and programme guide rules
Transportation card: for trams, buses and night buses

what is required?
+ Non-criminal record: the document has to be sent to us before you arrive in Poland
+ Medical certificate: attesting that your health status allows you to work with children, to be sent to us before you arrive in Poland
+ Medical examinations: stool test, chest X-ray required by law,
