Resumo: (Working with disabled youth)

The hosting organization is a residential school for 42 young people with severe learning difficulties, aged 17–20.
Our mission is to equip and strengthen students to become as independent and active in their own lives as possible, helping them become active citizens in the local community despite their challenges. Located in the old fishing town, the school sits beautifully on the banks, offering a practical, community-based learning environment.

Perfil: Age: Over 22 y.o until 30 y.o
Mindset: Willing to be part of a learning
community for disabled young people.
Engagement: Ready to contribute skills and
effort to daily life and learn from our
professional staff.
Qualities: Patient, empathetic, and
motivated to support students with severe
learning difficulties.

Tarefas: Volunteers are deeply involved in the social and educational life of the students. Your tasks include:
+ Social Life: Playing games, going to the cinema, shopping, visiting cafés, and joining trips or tours.
+ Educational Support: Assisting in interest areas such as Nature, Sport & Health, Art, and Music.
+ Workshop Involvement: Supporting the protected workshop where adults engage in theatre, cooking, art, and maintenance.
+ Daily Living: Helping students in their family groups to foster independence in a residential setting.
