Resumo: The Hosting organization is dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young individuals facing challenges, including those dealing with chronic diseases like HIV/AIDS or Tuberculosis.
Our mission goes beyond conventional support – we provide comprehensive medical, psychological, social, and material assistance. Moreover, we go a step further by building networks, conducting training courses, engaging in research, running campaigns, and advocating for change.
Internationally, our commitment extends to EU-funded projects focusing on critical areas such as autism, translational research infrastructure, prevention research, and the prevention of tuberculosis and HIV among vulnerable groups. RAA stands out for its emphasis on environmental sustainability in its organizational development strategy.
In response to the refugee crisis sparked by the war in Ukraine, The organization has proactively expanded its services, particularly in youth work and non-formal education, creating a safe space for youth, a space where everybody is welcomed, no matter of religion, nationality, sexual orientation or the country of provenience, a space where the newcomers are feeling integrate and where the youth is growing exploring their interests and passions. This space is our Youth Hub, a vibrant space where we curate and implement daily activities for youth, including projects supported by international donors and the Erasmus+ program.
Perfil: Age: 18-30
We are looking for a curious, proactive and open-minded volunteer who enjoys working with young people and feels comfortable being part of dynamic, real-life activities. You should be interested in outreach work – joining school visits, outdoor activities and community events, interacting directly with teenagers and helping create a welcoming, engaging space for them. You don’t need prior experience in youth work, but you should be comfortable stepping into new situations and connecting with people. At the same time, you should have basic skills in social media and content creation. You don’t need to be a professional, but you should be familiar with filming and editing short videos, using tools like Instagram or TikTok, and understanding how to create simple, engaging content.
If you like being around people, have a bit of initiative and don’t mind a mix of learning and fun, this is for you. You’ll have space to try your own ideas, help create a warm, friendly atmosphere for participants, create content and communication for social change and youth participation, talk about your country and culture in schools and youth centers, promote european values and opportunities, speak about volunteering while working as part of a friendly, multicultural team.
Our Youth Centre in Bucharest is a lively place where local and international young people meet for workshops, exchanges and events. We’re looking for a curious, kind and proactive volunteer who enjoys teamwork and wants to make a difference in the lives of others.
Tarefas: We are looking for a volunteer to support us in promoting the Youth Hub and making its activities visible through social media and direct outreach.
Your role will combine content creation and direct work with young people: capturing photos and videos, creating content for social media, and showing what youth work looks like in practice.
At the same time, you will be involved in outreach activities – joining school visits, outdoor activities and working directly with teenagers. You will be part of a small, supportive team and an active youth community where your ideas and initiative are encouraged.
Condições: Volunteers will live in a shared 2-room apartment (2 volunteers/apartment - might be of same or different sex, each one of the volunteers having its own private sleeping space, with kitchen & bathroom as shared spaces) in a safe area with easy access to public transport.
They receive 300 EUR/month for food and 120 EUR/month as pocket money. International travel to and from Bucharest is reimbursed and local public transport is covered during the volunteering period.
