Resumo: (Human Right. Discovering diversity and improving human rights of vulnerable people. Involvement and engagement in communities with people with fewer opportunities and/or with mild disabilities)

Our organisation was established in 2006 with the aim of offering opportunities of participation to young people through activities of active citizenship according to CRC International Youth Convention and UDHR-CEDU Declaration of Human Rights’ principles.

We constantly work to involve youth in voluntary projects, to make it active and protagonist in its environment, to improve the intergenerational relationship, to promote the solidarity concept as instrument of social well-being within the community. The specific aims of our projects are to develop skills, improve competencies, favour the ones with fewer opportunities, overcome individual growth obstacles with particular attention in the disability area, eliminate gender and ethnic stereotypes.

Educational methods within a non-formal and informal context are preferred. The projects involve groups of children and young people aged 8 to 25 years old. We organise activities for the integration of immigrant young people together with their families, peer tutoring projects run by high school students towards children with learning difficulties and courses specialised in the introduction of new technologies (educational robotics, coding, ecc.), meetings on specific topics of citizenship as Social Day and collaborations with seminars and social activities.

Moreover, we organise training courses for tutors involved in socio-educational activities and new technologies, exchange meeting in Italy and abroad, visits to regional, national and european institutions. To raise awareness on european topics, since 2012, we organise and take part to Erasmus+ Youth in Action projects.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

The volunteer is required to be predisposed to interpersonal relations, have an openminded approach and willingness to learn.
Adequate qualification is recommended but not a mandatory requirement; the candidate must have the intention to operate within the social sector and to support people with minor opportunity and operate for their human rights.

At minimum of B2 level of Italian is a requirement and motivation to improve the Italian language is important, in order to execute the different volunteering tasks and to collaborate with the other team members.

Knowledge of English is required. The candidate should be open to support the organization in other tasks which can be proposed by tutor and mentor during the period.

Tarefas: - Increase the social well-being in special communities by helping people in need, especially young people, mild disabilities disadvantaged persons, through daily support activities and promoting participation and social welfare and inclusion.
- together with dedicated professional staff, assist in providing educational support, create an inclusive and stimulating environment, promote personal development of people in need, solidarity and human’s rights defence
- plan, implement and participate in recreational activities (games, music course /plays, sports activities, theatre, Pet Therapy, and so on);
- accompany special need people in their daily routine and recreational activities/laboratories; Spend time with them in different environmental setting, outdoor activities, short trips....
- Accompany and support youth with learning difficulties or psychological support in fragile family situations ; afternoon school support for kids

Condições: Travel to Italy and back, accommodation, local transports and food expenses are covered by the project.
Local transfers will be mainly within walkable distance, local urban services are available if necessary.
The ESC volunteer accomodation is an apartment within the center, at a walkable access to every facilities and amenities needed . The ESC will be given a sinlge private room, ensuite bathroom. Kitchen and living areas are common.
