Resumo: (DISABLED PEOPLE)

The hosting roganization is active mainly in the territory of the Mountain Community. This is a hilly and mountainous area, largely rural, with a total population of just over 10,000 inhabitants.
The choice to remain rooted in our territory, especially in the field of social services and education, reflects the desire to be a real asset for the community and for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people. The proximity allows us to understand the specific needs expressed by the local territory and then evaluate and design targeted responses in collaboration with the local authorities and the representatives of the third sector.

Our values are:
- The promotion of social and cultural inclusion;
- The enhancement of the positive elements of each person and target groups;
- The promotion of the diversity thanks to exchanges and intercultural contacts;
- The support of initiatives of active citizenship by young people and adults;
- The creation of opportunities for the personal development and training in non-formal and informal contexts for youth and adults;
- The education to a culture of peace and solidarity;
- The development of a European awareness.

Perfil: We are searching for 1 volunteer between 18 and 28 years old, from an EU Country, with no specific training, but with openess to work with PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES.

We are able also to host young people with fewer opportunities. Volunteers should be flexible, openminded and willing to learn and share their abilities and competences.
Being able to work in authonomy, making part of a multicultural team.

Tarefas: The volunteers will support the staff with the daily activities like creativity, games, gardening, music, reading, walking, eating, cooking workshop, and so on. It will be giving the possibility to create new activities connected with the volunteer's interests or hobby.

Condições: The volunteers will share a room with another volunteer from the same gender, in an apartment dedicated to host all volunteers (max. 4 people), with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room and kitchen. The accommodation is completed furnished with all necessary, and free of charge for the volunteer. It will be given food allowance and pocket money, monthly.
