Resumo: (climate action project)
Aims of the hosting organization
a) To address the current climate crisis by promoting environmental and climate protection and resilience, monitoring energy production and use on the island of Ireland and elsewhere, and any other related activities thereto.

b) To promote and develop the community as an environmental and community resource centre and to establish, promote and operate programmes and services with a view to fostering the economic, personal, cultural, recreational, and social well-being of the communities of Ballinaglera and wider areas.

c) Through the European Solidarity Corps programme and using its principles of Engage and Connect, to empower young people to participate in solidarity and democratic processes at local, national and international levels.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
Interested in environment Comfortable with mainly working indoors Good communications and social media skills Happy to work in an international team

Tarefas: Unique project, focused on climate action projects, working with local young people.
Project Aim: With the support of ESC volunteers and partner organisations, to animate climate action locally, regionally, nationally and internationally through schools programmes , climate dialogue initiatives, digital platforms and civic engagement.
Also focus on communications - website, blogs, social media etc. to disseminate our work. We are expecting to start an Erasmus+ project with schools shortly and volunteers will play a big role in planning and preparation of this project. During the project, volunteers will get many opportunities to participate in Irish cultural events

Condições: Sharing accommodation with three other volunteers, bedroom each, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, living room. All bills paid. Lovely chalet on lakeside of quaint village.
Generous food allowance, pocket money. Car is provided for the volunteers, fuel allowance paid. National bus and train routes accessible. Work premises is community centre with kitchen facilities as well as offices and meeting rooms.
