Resumo: The project will take place at the permanent REV site, a former summer camp situated at an altitude of 1,200 meters. The building is situated at the foot of Mont Lozère in the heart of the Cévennes
National Park. The REV association moved there in spring 2022 and wants to turn it into a place to welcome visitors, exchange ideas, and meet new people. To keep improving the garden started in 2025, you will build a wooden greenhouse dome, for year-round cultivation.
This will contribute to transforming the site into a nourishing and supportive space where international volunteers, project volunteers, visitors, residents, etc. can meet.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: You will be involved in constructing a wooden geodesic dome that will serve as a greenhouse for the community garden run by the association. This dome’s shape offers several advantages: it uses less material than a rectangular structure to cover the same area, it is wind-resistant (common at high altitudes), it captures light from all angles, and it prevents snow from accumulating on the roof (useful in winter). A technical supervisor will share their knowledge of wooden construction and guide you through building this structure during dedicated work sessions (25 hours/week).

Condições: The workcamp is in a very remote area, where you will be accommodated in collective tents on the REV site (remember to bring a warm sleeping bag). You will have access to sanitary facilities close to the camp. Moreover, if weather conditions deteriorate too much for camping, a shelter a few meters away will be available. On the project, it is important to know that you will have two meat meals per week. Meals will be provided by the association and prepared by the participants, who will take it in turns to form cooking teams. Bring your best recipes!


LEISURE ACTIVITIES
Although far from France's metropolises, Lozère is a very dynamic region.
The region's activities revolve around local festivities, concerts, and unspoilt natural areas (mountains, rivers, forests).
