Resumo: (Theatre & Culture)

At the municipality level we offer youngsters youth houses, camps, concerts, trips, happenings, Youth Council, girl & boy groups. On a regional level we offer services for unemployed youngsters, workshops, music and writing training etc in cooperation with other municipalities or organisations.
In the youth services there are only three (3) youth leaders and the secretary of youth affairs. The youth services takes part in different projects both locally and regionally. Loimaa youth work has co-operation with different associations focused on working with children and young people, for example theatre, sports organisations, scouts etc. Municipality level, versatile youth work done by the personnel of youth services and in cooperation with other organisations. The youth services staff has a lot of experience and expertise in the field of youth work both locally and regionally. The youth services has coordinated three EVS projects 2013-2019 and runs a three year ESC volunteering partnership 2019-2021. During these projects we have hosted 18 long term volunteers and supported 3 volunteers.

We have created a well-working cooperation with our local partner the theatre and our foreign partner organisations from our previous projects (France, Austria, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Spain). With these organisations we have grown to organise projects and learned that we share the same values and ideology behind volunteering. At the moment we recruit volunteers in the Pass, and they are connected with different organisations. We feel that it's good to have previous experience from cooperation to be able to communicate and welcome new partners to our network.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Participants must meet the ESC volunteer criteria.
No special skills (work related, language etc.) needed – interest in experiencing new and enthusiasm will be enough!

Tarefas: During summer months theatre is preparing a play in an outdoor theatre and cultural services have the statuary park open and arrange or are involved in different events.
Tasks can include for example customer service, working in a cafeteria, selling tickets, cleaning, taking care of the environment, building props for the theatre etc. Also social media (Instagram & facebook) will be a part of volunteer´s duties. Please state clearly which one of the two opportunities you are interested in when applying, if both, set priority. Positions filled as soon as suitable person(s) found.

Condições: Project has been granted 2025 & follows ESC funding rules.
Volunteers allowance/pocket money €7 per day and EU travel grant will be paid according to the distance calculator (reimbursed after arrival). Volunteer must have a bank account with IBAN & BIC.
Accommodation will be in shared apartment (own room, shared kitchen&bathroom) with basic appliances.
Volunteer must be able to cook own meals. Volunteer will have an account (€250 per full month) for groceries & everyday items in local supermarket. We provide a bike for local travels.
