The hosting organization is a Polish non-governmental and non-profit organisation established in 1994. It is active in the field of international voluntary service considered as a tool of developing friendship, solidarity and mutual understanding among youth from different cultures and countries.

The organization organises summer workcamps and coordinates mid- and long-term individual voluntary projects in Poland, as well as sends youth from Poland to analogues projects abroad. The number of exchanged volunteers reaches approximately 250 volunteers each year (incoming - 100, outgoing - 150). Regular events of the organization include also trainings for mentors and workcamp leaders as well as information meetings and promotional activities for youth and institutions.

On the national level the organization cooperates with non-governmental organisations representing different fields from artistic education to ecology and public institutions such as nursery home or sociotherapy centre. The organization is involved in international voluntary service movement and cooperates with many organisations from the whole world.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
We are looking for a motivated person who:
-Communicates confidently in English (minimum B1).
-Is open-minded, curious and genuinely interested in intercultural learning.
-Feels comfortable working with people and speaking in front of groups.
-Is proactive and ready to take initiative.
-Can work both in dynamic social situations and in structured office tasks.

Is responsible, organized and willing to commit to the project seriously.

This project is suitable for someone who wants to understand how international youth projects function behind the scenes, develop practical skills and actively contribute to the work of a non-governmental organization. We are looking for engaged volunteers who are ready to learn, take responsibility for their tasks and be a reliable part of the team.

Tarefas: As an ESC volunteer in our office, you will support the coordination of long-term European Solidarity Corps projects and international workcamps. In the office you will work with two experienced coordinators and one other ESC office volunteer. At the same time, you will be part of a group of 14 international ESC volunteers who carry out their projects in different host organizations across the region (libraries, cultural centers, kindergartens, rehabilitation centers and other local institutions).
We meet regularly during evaluation meetings, trainings and integration activities, which allows you to stay connected to the wider volunteer group while gaining insight into project coordination.

‍MAIN AREAS OF INVOLVEMENT

Support in ESC projects
- Preparing infopacks, guidebooks and other informational materials.
-Supporting communication with volunteers and partner organizations.
-Creating content for social media and websites.
-Visiting volunteers in their host organizations and documenting their activities.
-Supporting recruitment processes and volunteer meetings.
-Organizing group activities and integrational meetings for other ESC volunteers.

Support in workcamps
- Assisting in promotion and recruitment of participants.
-Hosting preparatory and informational meetings.
-Helping with communication with incoming and outgoing volunteers.
-Supporting documentation and organizational tasks.

Additional activities
- Facilitating intercultural meetings and non-formal education workshops in schools.
-Supporting youth mobility promotion.
-Assisting with basic administrative and office tasks.

Tasks will be adapted to your skills and learning goals, and you will work under the guidance of coordinators.

Condições: Housing
Volunteers share a flat, a residential district .

Each volunteer has their own bedroom.
The office can be reached in under 30 minutes by public transport.

Shops and basic services are available within walking distance.


Allowances
Each volunteer receives:
- €150 per month as a food allowance
‍- €180 per month as pocket money

The flat has a fully equipped kitchen, and volunteers cook their own meals.

Transport
Volunteers receive a public transport pass valid across Warsaw.

All work-related travel outside the city is covered by the organization.

Travel costs to and from Poland are reimbursed according to ESC programme rules.
