The organisation
The organization is located in the center in the district. Our institution is a private social NGO supporting the rights and needs of children, young persons and families and is authorized by government as an institution for youth care a wide variety of services are offered by the organization such as Familienzentrum (meeting and education service for families), psychological counselling for families and education, Kindertagesstätte (day
nursery for children) and special offers in social work and educational work in schools for the pupils there.


The day-care centre is a kindergarten where we look after around 80 children aged 0 to 6 years. The goals of our work in the day-care centre is to focus on promoting language skills in German, integrating the different cultural and linguistic backgrounds of the children and families, developing I-competences, social and intercultural competences as well as the facilitation of intercultural and non-judgmental learning and others. The daycare centre has an open concept. Children from the age of 2 can move freely within the daycare centre and decide which activities they would like to take part in.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The volunteer can contribute their own experiences and support the day-care with individual, one-to-one care (daily play, the implementation of smaller projects, etc.).The typical tasks in two different daycare groups include:
- Animation on the Movement Island: The Movement Island is set up with psychomotor equipment. The volunteer motivates the children to play creatively with each other, initially under the guidance of the psychomotor specialist, later also on their own initiative.
- Support of an educator in a group room: introducing your own ideas and your own creative offer for the children is desirable
- Accompaniment of excursions of the children's groups
- Individual activity with a child and documentation of the observation tasks for a parent talk

Key facts for the volunteer position:
- The volunteer will work with a team including 2 direct colleagues. In total, 18 educators
work in the kindergarten, some of them in part-time.
- The spoken languages in the team are German, English, Ukrainian, Turkish, Arabic, French, Greek, Afrikaans and Spanish
- There no other volunteers in the organization
- The volunteer get the opportunity to get to know all children. 2-15 children are alternating in the room
- The children are between the ages of 2 and 6 years

Horário: - The volunteer is expected to work 30 hours per week.
- Working hours are from 9-15:30 including a break of 30 minutes
