Resumo: The Hosting organization is a non-profit organisation with over 12 years of experience hosting and supporting young people through meaningful volunteer experiences.
Our goal is to create a world where people are socially aware and motivated to make positivive change. Through hands-on projects in local communities, young people develop key competences, gain practical experience, and contribute to positive social change. To date, we have welcomed more than 1,000 individual volunteers and over 400 group volunteers, supporting their learning journeys while strengthening local communities.
The organization specializes in volunteer management, bringing international volunteers to work in the local community on ethical projects like teaching, after school support, special needs, sustainable agriculture, ngo support, summer camps, renovation, and community building. we focus on enriching the cultural experience for both volunteers and locals by organizing activities like trivia nights, board game nights, managing a community garden with a greenhouse and composting system, showcasing local artisan products, offering trainings, and hosting yearly team-building events for local volunteers.
Perfil: - aged 18-30 with
- good english language skills (especially spoken),
- motivation to volunteer with children and interested in the topic of digitalization,
- willing to step out of their comfort zone and living abroad for 4 months
- eager to grow their communication and teamwork skills, while learning more about their own strengths and areas to improve
- ready to build practical skills by planning and carrying out activities, and excited to make a real contribution to the community
- motivated to help create a booklet for organizing
- bringing fresh ideas and using their own skills.
Tarefas: The hosting organization organizes 15-20 summer camps in and around miercurea ciuc, engaging around 600 children and youth during the summer. volunteers help plan and run activities tailored to the local kids' needs, including games, english learning activities, arts and crafts, music, theatre, and sports, all conducted in english. the camps encourage kids to practice english confidently by interacting with international volunteers. volunteers also assist with evaluation, data collection, feedback, and activity reports.
The volunteers will work together to implement summer camp activities, requiring teamwork and cooperation. beyond working with the children, volunteers have additional responsibilities, such as having a weekly meeting with a mentor, attending weekly language classes, and preparing activities, tools, and snacks for the upcoming week. they will also participate in weekly accommodation meetings, complete weekly self-assessments.
volunteers will also maintain a blog and post regularly about their activities, and work on the social media by creating posts, pictures, videos, and reels. they also engage in teambuilding activities with the staff and participate in the national agency's general online trainings.
MAIN TASKS OF THE VOLUNTEERS:
+ Organising summer camps for the local community
+ Facilitating the summer camps from Monday through Friday, including the planning period
+ Working on a booklet containing games for summer camps
+ Recruiting volunteers in the local area and promoting the ESC Programme
+ Office tasks such as weekly meetings, creating social media posts, writing blog posts, selfassessments, etc.

• max. 2 volunteers in the same room, with gender-separated rooms
• fully furnished accommodation
• well-equipped kitchen
• bathrooms with toilets and showers
• shared kitchen and bathrooms with other volunteers living at the accommodation.
• basic furniture items in the rooms of volunteers
• internet connection in the accommodation
FOOD AND POCKET MONEY We will provide food allowance and pocket money to volunteers. The food allowance is 5 EUR/day (approx. 150 EUR/month) and the pocket money is 4 EUR/day (approx. 120 EUR/month).
