Resumo: The hosting organization is an umbrella organization for associations and initiatives that are actively involved in the areas of culture, education and social affairs. The organization is committed to promoting a diverse, democratic and solidary civil society by supporting and networking non-profit associations and initiatives.

In cooperation with its member associations, the organization develops civil society projects that offer innovative solutions to social, cultural and humanitarian challenges. A particular focus of its work is on educational programs and measures to promote civic engagement in order to strengthen participation and cooperation in our society.
The association was founded in June 2014 by eight non-profit founding members who want to strengthen and develop each other through cooperation and networking. Today, the organization represents over 70 member associations. Together, the member associations shape civil society through projects and events, create synergies and thus contribute to solidarity and diversity.

Tarefas: Volunteers who join us as part of the European Solidarity Corps take on a wide range of meaningful tasks in various projects and subject areas. Their activities are based on their interests and skills, as well as the needs of our organisation and target groups.

Typical tasks:
• - Supporting the organisation and implementation of events, e.g. the NRW Volunteer Award, intercultural festivals or educational formats such as workshops, seminars or dialogue forums.
• - Accompanying and moderating workshops for teenagers and young adults – on topics such as participation, diversity, democracy or sustainability.
• - Collaboration on social projects and leisure activities for various target groups, e.g. people with a refugee or migrant background. - Documentation and public relations work, e.g. through social media posts, photo documentation or writing short articles about project activities.
• - Development of your own small initiatives or projects, e.g. a creative workshop, a cultural event or an exchange format.

Roles of volunteers: They contribute their own ideas, develop new approaches with the team and take responsibility for specific areas. They participate in regular team meetings, receive targeted training and support, and are involved in the conceptual development of our services. Their contributions are not an add-on, but an integral part of our work – on an equal footing with full-time and part-time staff.
