Resumo: The environmental association was founded on 15 December 2004 with the aim of environmentalpreservation and protection in the area. The fundamental scope of its activity is the promotion of natural specific qualities of the Town and its surroundings, as well as the source and course of the River.

The association's projects have made contribution in creating a positive image by public, civil and private sectors andmedia. The association has become an equal partner in decision making in relation to the environmental protection andsustainable development. The main target group is the general population of citizens, with a focus on children and youth.

Our main goals are:
• Preservation and protection of nature and the environment
• Encouraging environmental and cultural awareness of citizens, especially young people and children.
• Encouraging organic agriculture and the development of cultural, rural and ecological tourism.
• Encouragement and development of civil society.
• Improving the quality of life, development of society and encouraging development processes in the local community.
• Promotion and development of volunteerism.
• Promotion and development of democratic political culture and culture of non-violence.
• Providing all types of assistance to all categories of society, with an emphasis on socially vulnerable categories and withthe purpose of improving the quality of life and development of society.
• Assistance in the protection of fundamental human and civil rights.
• Development and promotion of education for all categories of citizens.

Perfil: All young people aged between 18 and 30 years with strong motivation, willingness to see and try something new, curiosity about the world and other cultures, a strong interest in ecology, environmental and nature protection, and a desire to learn and actively contribute to positive changes in the local community.

Tarefas: • assistance in the organization and implementation of various workshops and seminars for citizens that aim to contribute to the promotion and development of environmental awareness, sustainable community development and solidarity;
• independent organization and implementation of workshops with the aim of changing values and behavior and encouraging active participation in the protection of the environment and nature, promotion of volunteering, learning foreign languages, etc.
• implementation of personal projects in accordance with the interests of volunteers;
• assisting in the organization and participation in the implementation of various environmental cleaning actions;
• assistance in organizing local community events (voluntary actions) connected to environmental awareness;
• assistance in writing, applying and implementing smaller local / national project proposals in NEDS field;
• implementing activities in the Eco-toy library of the association;
• assistance in the administration and management of social networks of the association and independent managementand administration of social networks of the project and promotion of project activities (making blog, making database,make records, work with videos, taking interviews, editing interviews, filming, making and editing videos, uploading oninternet, publishing on webpage, blog etc.);
• actively participate in organization implemented information campaigns the town and schools in other cities of the county, participating in presentations and informing young people about the European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+, the opportunities and benefits, as well as promoting European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus + programs and
• administrative tasks related to the project.

Horário: • Free days - 2 days per month during the mobility.
• Working hours - 6 hours per day, max 30 hours per week.

Condições: • Financial support - Pocket money - (180€ per month) + Food support (180€ per month); For the volunteers to feel more independent, a bank account will be created after their arrival. Every month, the volunteer will receive pocket money and food allowance, to arrange their own meals during the project duration.
• Accommodation: is provided by the hosting organisation.
