The hosting organization is a non-profit youth exchange organisation that promotes intercultural understanding, equality, and peace through international volunteering. We are part of the International Cultural Youth Exchange (ICYE) Federation, a global network of around 40 organisations.
Every year, we:
- Send 20–30 young people from Finland abroad as volunteers
- Welcome 30–40 international volunteers to Finland
- Coordinate ICYE and European Solidarity Corps volunteering programmes
Our office team includes three full-time staff members (Secretary General, Program Coordinator, and Communications Officer) and two international volunteers. Our work is supported by a group of active volunteer coworkers.
Perfil: Age: 18-30
This volunteering position is ideal for someone who:
Enjoys TikTok and Instagram
Likes creating videos, photos, and other digital content
Is curious about international volunteering and youth work
Is proactive, creative, and open to learning
Who enjoys connecting with people and teamwork
Is comfortable using English in both written texts and spoken communication
Enjoys organising group activities and facilitating workshops
You don’t need to be a professional – motivation and willingness to learn are what matter most. A bonus (but not required) is feeling comfortable also in front of the camera.
Tarefas: + Create together content for the TikTok channel and other social media
+ Brainstorm for content ideas and experiment with storytelling and trends
+ Film and edit short videos (TikTok, Reels)
+ Collect stories and experiences from volunteers and turn them into videos
+ Take photos and design visuals (Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud available)
+ Write short texts and captions (mainly in English)
+ Help keep our website, guidebooks, and communication materials up to date
+ Represent the organization at events, fairs, and school visits
+ Contribute to our magazine – Volunteers’ Voices
+ Take part in organising the organization´s training camps for international volunteers (held in May, August, October, and January)
+ Coordinate the organization´s Buddy activities
+ Develop a small personal project based on your interests (for example: a social media campaign, content series, or video concept)
Horário: Free time:
Two days off per week (usually Saturday & Sunday)
Two vacation days per month
Condições: Accommodation: With a host family or in a rented room in the metropolitan area
Food: Lunch allowance provided; other meals will be arranged by the host family or the volunteer will receive food money for the other meals, depending on the accommodation arrangement
Transport: Monthly public transport card for the Helsinki area covered
