Resumo: Main Aim (Volunteers’ task):
To introduce and involve the volunteers into the broad public work of Association DRONI, particularly in promotion of human rights education, intercultural dialogue and youth participation through an effective and innovative tool such as - Living Library (www.living-library.org)
Perfil: English is the working language of the project,a minimum of intermediate level of English is required. The applicant should demonstrate enthusiasm,curiosity, willingness to learn and work in an international team. Willingness to work with the local communities and disadvantaged.
Tarefas: Main Objectives of the project are:
- Developing the volunteer’s professional skills of the volunteers in fields such as: public relationship, youth work, organizing Living Library, human rights education;
- To take part and assist in conduction of the living library elements and other educational tools at the international, national and local activities where DRONI is a partner or an organiser;
- To promote the Living library through YiA and other youth projects in Georgian communities though creative and innovative tools;
- To raise intercultural awareness and promote human rights education among Georgia’s young people;
- To assist organizational team to plan, organize and evaluate activities where Living Library was used;
- To bringing human rights to a wider public and to organise living library youth clubs;
- To provide short meeting on different European topics, such as HRE, active citizenship, youth participation;
- Developing the volunteers’ creative skills through participation in DRONI’s multiplying activities and organizing Living Libraries;
- Developing volunteers’ skills in effective communication
- Fostering the volunteers’ confidence and Independence in decision-making through the experience of living abroad;
- Improving the volunteer’s intercultural sensibility and team-working skills;
- Raising awareness of cultural diversity in Georgia in general;
Horário: The office is run on everyday basis, from 11 to 6 p.m. Working hours of a volunteers are flexible. There can be sometimes work during weekends (training, seminars) with possible taking days off after.
Condições: What can DRONI offer:
Involving in coordination of international voluntary exchange (informing Georgian volunteers, getting know the database and system of exchange, taking part in seminars and training, meet other local and foreign volunteers);
Volunteers will be trained how to plan and implement Living Library
Regular communication with volunteers of DRONI (Living Library organizing team of DRONI)
Getting to know better Georgian NGO's (through platforms DRONI is involved in);
Taking active part in trainings of DRONI (training for camp leaders, volunteers, development activities on human right education and current situation in human rights protection in Georgia);
Taking part in preparation and follow up of the DRONI projects, organizing living library;
Providing space to develop own ideas and projects according to volunteers interest;
Sustaining cooperation and communicate with local NGOs and international organizations such as Council of Europe information office in Tbilisi,
Special lessons to learn Georgian.
Volunteers will have own space at the office; will be provided with personal computer or laptop and printer.
The work in the office is very varied and our aim is to find tasks suitable for nature of the volunteer and not to be overwhelming her/his with too many tasks, too easy tasks or to boring tasks.
