Resumo: (Multicultural environment; Youth culture; Creativity)
The hosting organization is a vibrant youth culture house, open to young people aged 15–30. Around 40% of its users are international, making the organization a welcoming, multicultural hub where creativity and community thrive.
The mission of the organization is to help young people feel at home by offering an inclusive space for social connection, creative expression, and democratic participation.
The collaborates with several youth organisations and hosts both fixed workshops (ceramics, sewing, textile crafts, screen printing, music) and many spontaneous, user-driven activities.
Perfil: We are looking for a volunteer (18–30 years old) who is:
+ Creative, proactive, and open-minded
+ Outgoing and comfortable meeting new people
+ Interested in working with international youth
+ Able to communicate confidently in English
+ Friendly, welcoming, and able to create a cozy, inclusive atmosphere
The volunteer should have:
+´Interest in kitchen work
+ Ability to support food clubs (recipes, shopping, tidying)
+ Strong hosting skills
+ Interest in organizing activities or creative workshops
+ A natural ability to connect people and build community
Tarefas: The volunteers play a central role in the daily life of the house. They are often the first people visitors meet and help ensure that the organization feels open, warm, and social. Typical tasks include:
+ Welcoming new users and giving short tours
+ Helping people get involved in ongoing activities
+ Assisting in the café area, keeping the space cozy
+ Supporting kitchen tasks
+ Supporting creative workshops and community projects
+ Developing their own events once they feel confident (craft sessions, cultural evenings, meetups, etc.)
Volunteers take part in staff meetings and become fully integrated members of the team. Volunteer receives both a professional mentor and a social mentor to support their learning, wellbeing, and integration.
Horário: Working hours: 30–35 hours/week
Condições: Accomodation: Volunteer will live in a typically in shared housing with other international volunteers. Volunteers receive food money and pocket money monthly.
