Resumo: (Reuse; Sustainability; Social impact; Community support)

The hosting organization is the local branch working to support vulnerable people across the municipality. With over 40 community-based activities, we assist individuals facing loneliness, homelessness, social isolation, or a lack of support networks. We also run educational programs and operate several second-hand stores that help fund our humanitarian work.

As an ESC volunteer, you will become part of a dynamic organization that adapts to local needs and engages hundreds of volunteers across Aarhus.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

We are looking for volunteers who:
Skills & Interests
Are motivated by reuse, circular economy, and sustainable fashion
Are interested in donation handling, sorting, pricing, and second-hand retail
Want to promote sustainability and the Red Cross mission


Personal qualities
Cooperative and comfortable working with Danish volunteers, interns, staff, and partners
Positive, service-minded, and comfortable interacting with customers
Able to take initiative and contribute ideas

Requirements:
Driving license (required)- you must feel comfortable driving in Denmark
English skills (speaking, understanding, writing)
General IT knowledge
Understanding of volunteer work and its impact on local communities

Tarefas: You will be part of a friendly, multicultural team of volunteers and staff working across different Reuse shops. Your tasks will reflect your interests and strengths, and you’ll have the freedom to shape your own role.

Typical tasks include:
- Providing customer service in second-hand shops
- Picking up donations from containers, partners, and private donors
- Sorting and pricing clothes, books, accessories, and household items
- Preparing products for sale and arranging displays
- Helping promote second-hand fashion, sustainability, and our shops
- Decorating and styling shops for seasons and events
- Assisting with ad hoc projects or events related to Reuse and sustainability
- Supporting with small practical or handyman/woman tasks (e.g., setting up meeting rooms)
- New initiatives — we are very open to volunteer-driven ideas
You may be attached to 2–3 shops on a weekly basis.
