The hosting organization is part of the Danish efterskole tradition — a unique model of independent residential schools for students aged 15–17. Efterskoler combine academic learning with personal development, social life, and shared community routines.
The school receives government support but sets its own profile, values, and teaching approach. Aagaard Efterskole is known for its combination of:

Students live at the school during the week and become part of a meaningful youth community.

Perfil: Age: 20 - 30
- Interested in working with children and teenagers
- Engaged, flexible, and willing to take initiative
- Comfortable participating in all aspects of school and boarding life
- Interested in foreign languages (English, Spanish, French or German)
- Willing to share knowledge about their own culture and country
- Hard-working and dependable

Tarefas: Volunteers become part of both academic and boarding school life. Tasks vary depending on strengths, experience, and interests.

Your main responsibilities include:

Language assistant work
- Supporting English or German classes
- Conversational practice
- Cultural presentations about your country
- Helping students with assignments

Contributing to elective subjects
- Music
- Creative subjects
- Sports
- Skiing
- Practical workshops
- Other activity blocks based on your skills

Supporting school routines
- Helping organize and supervise evening activities
- Assisting during cleaning duties and mealtimes
- Helping with homework sessions
- Participating in events and theme weeks

Condições: Live either on campus or with a host family
