The hosting organization is a warm and welcoming nursing home for elderly citizens. .
Next to the nursing home you will find a vibrant community center, including:
- a health center
- a café
- rooms for activities, workshops, and meetings

The nursing home is an active and social environment where staff, residents, and volunteers work together to create meaningful daily life and a strong sense of community.

Perfil: Age: 18–25
German-speaking volunteers (from Germany, Belgium, or the Netherlands) are preferred
Highly motivated to learn Danish, as communication with residents and staff becomes easier over time
Ready to participate fully in the routines and community life of the nursing home


This project is ideal for volunteers who enjoy personal contact, creativity, and working with older adults in a respectful, meaningful way.

Tarefas: Volunteers will be integrated into the daily routines and support both staff and residents. Tasks depend on your interests, abilities, and the needs of the residents.

Your responsibilities may include:

Social & cultural activities
- Playing cards or board games
- Cozy coffee breaks, conversation, or reading aloud
- Baking and cooking with residents
- Helping with mealtimes
- Arranging small cultural events (e.g., a German afternoon, holiday traditions, baking day)


Creative & musical activities
- Knitting, embroidery, drawing, painting, ceramics
- Music sessions, singing, playing instruments
- Leading small creative workshops based on your interests

Physical & outdoor activities
- Gentle exercise, walks, dancing, gardening
- Active ageing activities such as chair exercises
- Helping with small excursions outside the nursing home

Supporting staff & community
- Helping organize activities in the community center
- Participating in holiday events (Christmas, Easter, summer party, etc.)
- Supporting staff with light practical tasks
- Helping create a warm, social atmosphere in everyday life


Volunteers are not expected to perform medical or personal care tasks.

Condições: Volunteers will live in a shared apartment. A direct bus connection links with the apartment in about 35 minutes.

Meals are included, and volunteers are encouraged to join staff and residents for shared meals and social gatherings.
