The hosting organization is a lively and caring nursing home for elderly citizens.
Next to the organziation, you will find an active community center with:
- a health center
- a café
- rooms for events, meetings, and activities

Together, the nursing home and community center form a social and inclusive hub for both residents and local citizens.

The aim of the organization is to create a meaningful, active, and secure daily life for elderly residents. This is achieved through:
- social activities
- physical movement
- creativity and hobbies
- community involvement
- cultural traditions and events

Volunteers play an important role in bringing energy, companionship, and new perspectives into the everyday routines of the residents.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
Highly motivated to work with elderly people
Interested in the fields of health, care, community work, or social engagement
Social, outgoing, creative, and empathetic
Ready to take initiative and suggest ideas
Motivated to learn Danish, which helps daily communication
Happy to participate in singing or music (playing an instrument is appreciated but not required)


This placement is ideal for volunteers who enjoy human contact, meaningful conversations, and creative or social activities.

Tarefas: Volunteers become part of the daily routines at the nursing home and community center. Tasks depend on your interests and the needs of residents.
Your responsibilities may include:
+ Practical & community tasks
- Light office tasks
- Helping in the community café
- Social support in daily routines

+ Social & cultural activities
- Card or board games
- Cooking or baking together
- Shared meals and cozy gatherings
- Helping with seasonal celebrations (Christmas, Easter, birthdays)
- Organizing one or two cultural events about your home country or interests

+ Creative & musical activities
- Knitting, embroidery, painting, drawing, ceramics
- Singing, playing music, helping with music sessions

+ Physical & outdoor activities
- Gardening
- Walking trips
- Dancing, fitness, or gentle exercises (“active ageing”)
- Helping with movement-related activities

+ Supporting or planning events & projects
Volunteers may assist in planning or running activities such as:
- Wine Club
- Men’s Night
- Biking Without Age (taking residents on bike rides)
- Value Stock and similar community initiatives

+ Excursions

Volunteers often participate in outings outside the nursing home/community center — walks, cafés, cultural visits, or local events.

Condições: Volunteers will live in a shared apartment 15 minutes by bus from the workplace.
Meals are included, and volunteers are encouraged to join staff and residents for shared meals and social gatherings.
