Resumo: (DISCOVERING DIVERSITY AND IMPROVING HUMAN RIGHTS OF VULNERABLE PEOPLE. INVOLVEMENT AND ENGAGEMENT IN
COMMUNITIES WITH PEOPLE WITH FEWER OPPORTUNITIES AND/OR WITH MILD DISABILITIES)

The hosting organization is a non-profit organization based in Italy, active since 2006. It is dedicated to children and young people, promoting educational activities to spread the principles of democracy and citizenship. The organization assists vulnerable communities and promotes European citizenship, representing various local ethnicities to foster integration and reduce prejudices from childhood.
The organization is active in the social sector by creating recreational spaces for young peoplethrough arts and sports and providing educational support in schools for disadvantaged groups. They participate in Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges and
Training Courses as both host and partner associations and are accredited for European Solidarity Corps projects.
We are the leading association for the local webradio group inRadio, an initiative promoted by the Italian National Agency that fostersparticipation, solidarity, and inclusion, as well as opportunities for European youth mobility.
We organize seminars, conferences, training courses, and workshops, involving various social realities and collaborating with numerous institutions.

The volunteer is required to be predisposed to interpersonal relations, have an openminded approach and willingness to learn. Adequate qualification is recommended but not a mandatory requirement; the candidate must have the intention to operate withinthe social sector and to support young people with minor opportunity and operate for their human rights. At Least a Basic level of Italian is a requirement and motivation to improve the Italian language is important, in order to execute the different volunteering tasks and to collaborate with the other members of the team. Knowledge of English is required.
The candidate should be open to support the organization in other tasks which can be proposed by tutor and mentor during the period.

Tarefas: The aim of the project is to increase the social well-being in special communities by helping people in need, especiallyyoung people, through daily support activities and promoting youth participation and social welfare and inclusion. The main tasks to be carried out for this position are:
• Increase the social well-being in special communities by helping people in need, especially young people, mild disabilities disadvantaged persons, through daily support activities and promoting participation and social welfare and inclusion.
- together with dedicated professional staff, assist in providing educational support, create an inclusive and stimulating environment, promote personal development of people in need, solidarity and human’s rights defence
- plan, implement and participate in recreational activities (games, music course /plays, sports activities, theatre, Pet Therapy, and so on);
- accompany special need people in their daily routine and recreational activities/laboratories; Spend time with them in different environmental setting, outdoor activities, short trips,...
- Accompany and support youth with learning difficulties or psychological support in fragile family situations ; afternoonschool support for kidsevelopment of young people, solidarity and human’s rights

Condições: Travel to Italy and back, accommodation, local transports and food expenses are covered by the project. Local transfers will be mainly within walkable distance, local urban services are available if necessary.
The ESCvolunteer accomodation is within the Istituto premise, an histoc building immersed in the green park of the Villa, in the center at a walkable access to every facilities and amenities needed . The ESC will be given a sinlge private room, ensuite bathroom. Kitchen and living areas are common.
