Resumo: Based in a vibrant district, near the University campus, our organization, the hosting organization, is a youth-focused NGO dedicated to empowering young individuals, especially those from migrant backgrounds. Established by a group of 20 visionaries and driven by a core team of five dedicated members, we aim to address two critical areas: youth entrepreneurship and healthy living.

Our primary objective is to cultivate entrepreneurial skills among university students, preparing them for the competitive landscape of the free market. We place a significant emphasis on integrating marginalized youth, particularly from migrant backgrounds, into our activities. This integration not only fosters a sense of community but also promotes diversity and inclusivity.

Another key focus area is promoting a healthy lifestyle among the youth. Recognizing the shift towards physical activities during the pandemic, we are now taking a step further by introducing concepts of nutritious diets and the benefits of microgreens. Our goal is to break the stereotype that superfoods are only for the affluent, making them accessible to all, especially young people.

Our target groups are primarily university students, with a special focus on young individuals from migrant backgrounds. Through our various activities, we strive to create a supportive environment where these young people can develop their skills, enhance their well-being, and contribute positively to society.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

We welcome motivated young people who are enthusiastic about creativity, digital communication, and contributing to an environmental youth initiative. No professional experience is required, but a genuine interest in visual media and sustainability is essential.

Ideal candidates should:
– Be motivated to learn and contribute actively during the 59-day placement.
– Have interest or basic skills in video editing, photography, graphic design, or social media content production (TikTok, Instagram, Reels).
– Enjoy creating digital stories, experimenting with visual formats, and expressing ideas creatively.
– Feel comfortable documenting activities such as workshops, community events, and microgreens cultivation.
– Be able to work both independently and within a multicultural team.
– Show curiosity about healthy eating, microgreens, urban sustainability, and youth environmental projects.
– Communicate with openness, respect, and responsibility.
– Be willing to participate in weekly planning meetings and follow the content strategy when producing material.
– Have a proactive attitude and readiness to share new ideas to help improve the online presence.
– Be adaptable; the project involves creative tasks, field activities, and office work.
– Have a good level of initiative—this role is ideal for people who enjoy taking ownership of their creative process. No specific technical background is required. Candidates with portfolios (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Google Drive, etc.) are highly encouraged to share their work, but this is optional.

Equal opportunities policy: the organization welcomes volunteers of all backgrounds, cultures, and skill levels. Motivation, willingness to learn, and a positive attitude are the most important criteria.

Tarefas: Volunteers will support a national youth initiative promoting microgreens, healthy eating, and urban sustainability. The role focuses on creating visual content: short videos, reels, photos, simple graphics, and social media material for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and our website. Volunteers will document workshops, events, and the weekly microgreens cultivation process, helping us reach and inspire young people across Greece. They will work in a supportive international team, gain hands-on experience, develop digital skills, and contribute to a meaningful environmental project.

After the 59-day period, successful volunteers may be offered the possibility to extend their stay for up to 12 months.

Condições: Volunteers are hosted in a fully equipped 100m² apartment with three bedrooms, a large shared living room, kitchen, and bathroom. The flat accommodates four volunteers in total.
Monthly food and pocket money amount to 420 EUR, which also includes an allowance for local transportation.
Since the office is only a 15-minute walk from the apartment, volunteers may choose whether they want to use public transport or not.
