Resumo: The youth center is made and being held by the Municipality. Institution is going forwards with the aim of supporting and helping to develop youngster initiatives, in the same time encouraging youngsters to develop their life quality. Youth center were founded in 2006 and since 2019 three more youth centers in district were added to the municipality subordination.By the changes, the team of 9 workers in all youth centers together were made. In making activities and working for the youth, institution is working according to Law of Youth, Children rights and protection law and many different regulations, as well as the Municipality made acts of rights and approved institution regulations.

Moreover all youth centers are giving out priorities in working with youth and plans all of the activities regarding to the district youth policy planed for years 2018-2024. This policy is planned on 5 aims of direction, which accordingly goes hand to hand with country of Latvia youth policy planning documentation: informal education, participation, volunteering, work with social risk youngsters, youth employment and business, meaningful and active ways of spending free time.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
Our organization will be happy give this opportunity to anyone who wants to learn something about youth work. Someone who loves to spend time with youngsters and kids, learn how to prepare activities and implement them in youth center's daily work. Someone, who would like to share with youth their best qualities and individual skills, improving them in the process.

Tarefas: The goal of the project is to bring four different personalities (volunteers) to the small town, Latvia, who are motivated to bring harmony and a little bit of chaos in the ordinary lives of the inhabitants, to give, to teach, to create more opportunities for the youth and to learn in the process. It is an opportunity for youth around the world to meet and develop friendships, to realise different workshops, introduce another culture and organize educational activities in the youth center. An opportunity to build self-esteem and confidence, enhance work and experience, develop new skills and interests. Make a change in a community and support a cause the volunteer feels strongly about.

Condições: The volunteer has two travel options: travel in a green way (take a bus, train or drive by car) or take a plane. The organization will help with the transport to the city. Accommodation is in two room apartment, the project covers all expenses (utilities, food, pocket money, traveling in country that are connected to the activities etc.).
