Resumo: De Amicitia is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization inscribed in the Spanish National Associations Register since 1998. It is located in a rural area near the city of Madrid. The main activity of De Amicitia is to organize local and international volunteering activities, specially workcamps. With its formal headquarters in the northern mountain range of the Madrid region, De Amicitia has moved its activities in that area but also in other areas of Spain far from the big cities where it has been able to carry out its own rural development actions in collaboration with the associative social fabric and the support of the local administration. Administrative delegations have been created in recent years in Asturias, Andalusia, the Canary Islands, Navarra, and the Valencian Community, registered in accordance with the legislation in the National Registry of Associations that serve as a local reference and where we work with young people from those areas developing local projects of international and especially European mobility. We also have been very active in the organization of Youth Exchanges and seminars on the frame of EU Programs, sending and receiving ESC volunteers (previously EVS) for many years. De Amicitia has also a legal department working on legal environmental advising and arbitration of NGOs. Mixing both types of activities allows us to provide social and educational benefits as well as publicize the legal work we do in courts and other settings.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The volunteer will support De Amicitia’s international project and activities at the rural sustainability center Aula Vital. Tasks include manual and environmental work such as building maintenance, painting, gardening, firewood preparation, and cleaning natural areas. Volunteers will also take part in educational workshops focused on sustainability, biodiversity, and renewable energy. A detailed description of each activity will be provided to the volunteer before it begins.
