Resumo: The leader organization has been involved in EVS/ESC since 2001. The organization has been active in hosting, sending and coordinating EVS/ESC projects. On average at one time, 14 volunteers are in the Netherlands on a permanent basis each 8/9 months, supporting a wide variety of organizations; the organization is either coordinating partner for volunteer projects at biodynamic farm or is host for volunteer projects.
Volunteer work, local but also international, for instance via ESC, is a main topic for the foundation.
Aims for the applicant is to continuously improve, refine and further develop the quality of volunteer work. The organization considers volunteer work as an essential tool for
a) integration in society and social engagement (from the viewpoint of the individual volunteer);
b) further developing the social domain by organizing activities for which financial resources are not available (from the viewpoint of the organization that makes use of the participant);
c) developing work related competencies and skills related to active citizenship (from the viewpoint of the participant);
d) enable social dialogue between parties that maybe will not meet under other circumstances (from the viewpoint of all stakeholders involved).

Perfil: Age: 18-30
We look for volunteers who have a proven interest in the social sector, who are interested in working with people with limitations. An educational background in the social field, could be an advantage but is not a requirement. The willingness to learn the Dutch language, before arrival is a big bonus, since communication is important in the social sector. All communication will take place in English, so it is important to understand English and/or have a strong motivation to learn English in a rapid speed, prior to arrival. The volunteer will work for different organisations/locations: flexibility to work for different organisations is therefore a necessity.

Tarefas: We are offering a 4- or 8 month volunteer project starting on 01-05-26. Initially, participants commit to a 4-month contract, during which we will evaluate the experience together with the volunteer, the professionals they collaborate with, and our organization. This project allows participants to explore various aspects of social work, with a focus on supporting individuals with different types of limitations. We are looking for volunteers who are enthusiastic about working in the social sector. Applicants with an educational background in social work are especially encouraged to apply. An interest in gardening and sports activities is highly valued. Since effective communication is crucial in the social field, a willingness to learn Dutch is a significant advantage. Condições: Volunteers stay in two cozy locations: a big shared house that can host up to eight people, and a smaller apartment in the center. The hosting organisation takes care of the placements, so volunteers don’t need to worry about choosing where they’ll stay. Everyone has their own private bedroom, while the kitchen and bathroom are shared with housemates. A bicycle is provided for getting around day to day, and volunteers receive €400 per month to cover food and pocket money.
