Resumo: The hosting organization has two main aims :
– as an organisation recognised as homework club: to support the intellectual development, social emancipation, cultural access and the citizenship learning and participation for children from 4 to 15 years old
– as a youth centre recognised by the French community of Belgium: to support the development of an active, critical, in solidarity and responsible citizenship among young people from 12 till 26 years old by putting them into a situation of responsability and learning, by encouraging them to participate into the social, political, cultural and economical aspects of the life within the society Concretely, the organization fulfills its aims by organising weekly activities: after school support for children less than 12 years old; free time at the youth center; theatre, music and cooking workshops among other creative activities. During school holidays, Gamedella also proposes holiday camps and activities for children and youth

Tarefas: Weekly activities:
- after school support for children less than 12 years old. Children receive support to do their homework from local volunteers, but also come to do fun activities;
- free time at the youth center for more than 11 years old where young people get to hang out together ;
- theatre, music, media and cooking workshops for more than 11 years old once a week;
- projects aiming at providing a service to the community on fridays

During school holidays :
- summer camps (residential or not);
- thematic or creative/athletic and cultural weeks;

(These weekly activities usually happen more or less 4 times during the summer)
- excursions;
- free time at the youth center.

Occasionally:
open doors, residential activities in partnership with other organisations…

Condições: You'll be accommodated in the nearby town, 3 km away from the organiztion. You'll share an equipped house with other ESC volunteers active in different projects; you'll have a single room while the kitchen, living room and bathroom are shared. You'll receive a monthly allowance to cover your food and will be able to cook by yourself at home. T In order to go from the house to the organization, busses, carsharing and cycling are possible options.
