Resumo: The hosting organization is a center dedicated to providing support and opportunities for individuals with physical, intellectual, developmental, or other types of disabilities. Volunteers are involved in facilitating a range of activities with the aim of promoting social inclusion among the center's users.
Perfil: • Are 18-30 years old

Tarefas: 1. Volunteer engagement
The organization actively engages volunteers in its activities and programs. Volunteers play a crucial role in assisting and enriching the lives of the individuals with disabilities who use the center's services.
2. Art, creativity and drama
The center focus on creative and artistic activities as a means of engagement and empowerment for its users. This include art therapy, creative workshops, drama classes, and other forms of artistic expression that can have therapeutic and developmental benefits.
3. Skill development
In addition to creative activities, volunteers may also help individuals with disabilities acquire practical skills. Skill development can enhance their independence and overall quality of life. These skills could include cooking, basic life skills, and vocational training, depending on the specific needs and goals of the users.
4. Foster social inclusion
One of the central goals is to promote social inclusion. This means creating an environment where individuals with disabilities feel accepted, valued, and integrated into the broader community. Volunteers likely play a vital role in facilitating social interactions, building friendships, and breaking down barriers that can lead to isolation
The experience also aims to strengthen the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities, promote active citizenship, and build strong ties with the community. Volunteers will be involved in flexible and diverse activities, with clear roles and impact-oriented responsibilities, developing transferable skills, personal motivation, and confidence.

The participant will receive a total of €11 per day, composed as follows:
€6/day as pocket money
€5/day as food allowance
Payments will be managed directly by the organization and will be transferred in euros (€) at the beginning of each month.
Accommodation:
Volunteers will be hosted in a large flat. It is surrounded by many of the historical and artistic monuments. On the ground floor there are the offices of Strauss APS and spaces for recreational and educational workshops, while, on the first floor, on an area of about 390 square meters, there is the volunteers house.
The flat has 2 entrances, one internal and connected with the offices below, one independent. House is provided with 5 bedrooms, all with windows, 1 kitchen, 2 bathroom areas, a laundry room and a large terrace. Various facilities will be provided to the volunteers: Wi-Fi internet h24, 1 TV, 1 oven, 1 microwave, 2 fridges, 2 hobs, 2 kitchen sinks, kitchen tools, washing machine, 2 washtub, iron and drying racks, 8 washbasins, 5 showers, 5 toilets, bikes and all the furniture needed to accommodate the volunteers.
