Resumo: (Youth office)
We are an umbrella organization and voluntary association representing 38 institutions, associations, and groups engaged in child and youth work in Esslingen. Our mission is to serve as a central point of contact that strengthens, supports, and safeguards the educational and conceptual work with children and young people in the city. In addition, we act as a service hub for all matters related to youth work, offering advice and assistance to associations, groups, and volunteers.

Our core tasks include: improving the living conditions of children and young people, representing their interests in political and social matters, supporting the professional development of child and youth work across the city, providing guidance and practical support for associations, groups, and volunteers.

We offer a diverse range of activities tailored to the interests, skills, and abilities of children and young people—always with the aim of creating joy, fun, and meaningful experiences. These activities provide valuable opportunities for personal growth and development while encouraging creativity, independence, and self-expression.

We empower children and young people to shape their own projects and ideas, fostering self-determined action and active participation in their social and living environment. Through our programs, they are motivated to contribute to their community and take responsibility in meaningful ways.

A key part of our work is promoting democracy and participation. We create inclusive spaces where young people can voice their opinions, influence decisions, and engage in shaping the organization itself

All of our programs and opportunities are designed to be accessible to every child and young person.

Tarefas: - Support the project created to open spaces for children of elementary school age. Activities take place not only inside schools in cooperation with the institutions, but also in schoolyards, parks, playgrounds, narrow residential areas, and even in the middle of the street. The goal of the project is to encourage free play and creative activities in an environment of solidarity. Children are given both the space and the tools to express themselves, while learning to interact respectfully in a group context. The project promotes integration, cooperation, and the development of simple group roles and rules—regardless of age, background, education, physical ability, or language.
- Support the project that provides open spaces for young people aged 11 and above to meet, spend time together, and organize their own activities. The project offers a wide range of resources, including table football, benches, mattresses, footballs, table tennis equipment, a slackline, jukebox, laptop, projector, and more. Unlike a fixed youth center, this is mobile: its tent setup allows activities to move across different parts of the city, reaching young people who may not have easy access to mobility. In this open and flexible environment, youngsters can simply hang out, as well as plan and implement their own projects—even overnight gatherings.
- Promote the above mentioned projects in the local community, prepare materials, assist with organization, and contribute to the planning of activities. There will be involvement in all phases of the projects, directly engaging with participants and bringing in own ideas to enrich the programs with an intercultural dimension.
- Help the team in office-related tasks such as organizing data, scheduling appointments, and assisting with events. Whenever possible, join the team in providing consultations to young people, gaining further insight into the work of youth services.
