Resumo: (Assistance / buddy for a blind person)
From January to December 2026, a young blind woman from Serbia will be with us as part of our ESC inclusive project.
We are looking for someone who would like to act as an assistant/buddy for this period as part of the European Solidarity Corps
Perfil: Age: 18-30
Basic German and good English skills are required to ensure a common language and good communication.
A positive, empathetic, flexible, friendly, and helpful attitude would be appreciated.
Tarefas: • Support regarding orientation and safe accompaniment
• Assistance on errands and shopping trips
• Team work in the workshop for the blind
• Joint organisation and implementation of a language café
• Mutual support for learning german
• If necessary, support in everyday chores
• Active communication on the bli@d volunteer's needs and on how to compensate lack of accessibility.
Condições: Separate accommodation, i.e., the blind volunteer lives in her own adapted apartment on the grounds, where the other ESC volunteers' apartment is also located within walking distance (approx. 5 minutes).
