Resumo: (environment)
The hosting organization offers original sleeping accomodation for different kind of groups most of them youth. That can be schools, youthmovements, sportclubs, people with disabilities, summercamps, families, friends, organisations who take care of people with fewer opportunities.
We accommodate 2 boats and a house wich is also accesible for people with disabilities. Also Kraaienst offers outdoor sportactivities for different groups and individuals: kids, youth, adults, people with disabilities, people with fewer opportunities,...
To give you an idea of our organisation we welcome in non corona years around 10 000 people for sleeping and/or sportactivities. We work with a staff of 3 people whole year round and during the high season with more staff as well with a lot of students during the holidays and weekends.

Our aim is to give everybody the opportunity to do outdoorsports and stay in nature in a sustainable way.
People with disabilities or fewer opportunities need more support and care and we and the groups don't have the people and money and time for this extra support.

Acting and operating in a sustainable way asks creative thinking, a lot of time and people to do so.
This is the place where the ESC volunteers gives us the support to reach our objectives without burn out our staff or other expenses/stock. With their own viewpoint from their culture and way of living they can bring their input and creative thinking on how we can improve and embodie sustainability and inclusion. During the winter time where we don't have al lot of guests they create their own sustainability or inclusion project. example: creating a herb garden, renovate or ad a part of the accommodation in a creative more sustainable way, making and using pictures from people with disabilities, nationalities, .... are staying at the hosting organization, doing activities to make inclusion more visible....
We want to create a warm atmosphere where young people feel at home and feel motivated to grow
we want everybody to be happy by creating an atmosphere of open communciation and that's not always the most easy and fastest way , we believe it is the most sustainable.

Perfil: Age: 18 - 30

Tarefas: guiding sportactivities (including groups with fewer opportunities), support with the welcoming of groups in our acommodation, support with serving meals for groups, some sustainable maintenance work related to our accommodation and our activities,.. and so on. As you will take part of our team we are open for your input and good ideas!

Condições: You will stay in a chalet. You get a bike and a 10 turn card for the train to encourage you to explore.
You will get a budget to buy and cook your own meals.
During the season you can also eat meals when you help with serving them.
You live at 2km from public transport (tram) and 35 km from the nearest trainstation(which is also reachable by tram)!
