Resumo: The hosting organization is one of the largest and most experienced youth organizations in Latvia, with 30+ years of promoting leadership, civic engagement, and European Union values. Led by young people for young people, we work with over 200 volunteers and 800 members to implement initiatives that inspire change at national and international levels. which engage 5'000+ youth anually.

Our 50+ yearly activities include discussions, training courses, and intercultural projects on 15+ topics like human rights, climate change, and active citizenship. We also actively lobby in 5 ministries and do NGO training for 200+ NGO’s. Our goal is to bring the core principles of the EU to life in modern society,

expected Workload
- 30-35 hours per week.
- Hybrid work mode available
– a mix of remote work and in-office presence.
- Weekly team meetings for 1 hour and 1:1 check-in every 2 weeks.

WORkING IN THE TEAM
- Will be part of the organization’s core team, where most of the work & meetings happens in late afternoon.
- Active participation in various team events, such as training, team-building activities, and organizational traditions, is expected.
- Despite being one activity coordinator, collaboration with multiple team members may be required, depending on the project.


Tarefas: As a volunteer in the House you’re part of our core team, and your work directly helps the organization increase capacity (attract volunteers, funding, partners and create efficent systems). You’ll be involved in the day-to-day tasks, making a real impact, and helping to organize events and collaborations with local and international partners. It’s a great way to develop skills for in your future career, and you’ll also get to take part in fun team activities, like training sessions and our annual traditions. VOLUNTEERING POSITION NR.2
Programmer and Developer
Script Development & Automation
- Design, develop, and maintain scripts primarily using Google Apps Script (JavaScript) to automate various tasks and workflows.
- Integrate Google Workspace applications (e.g., Sheets, Docs, Forms, Drive) through scripting to streamline internal processes.
- Develop custom functions and add-ons for Google Sheets, Docs and other Workspace applications to support data analysis and reporting.

Database Management & Architecture
- Manage and maintain existing databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility.
- Design and structure new databases and integrate with Google Workspace services.
- Develop and implement efficient methods for handling and processing large datasets.
- Write complex queries and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading.


VOLUNTEERING POSITION NR.2
Project Writing

Project Development
- Support the writing of international project proposals and be involved in the entire process from A to Z.
- Assist in coordinating project timelines, deliverables, and reporting.
- Help organize workshops or training sessions on project writing and fundraising.

Funding Research
- Identify new EU funding opportunities and grants, .
- Maintain a CRM database of potential funders, submission deadlines and project ideas.

OUTREACH AND PARTNERSHIPS
- Coordinate ideation with process managers and pitch the ideas to 10+ embasies with who we already partner.
- Reach out to EU NGO partners about collaboration.

Condições: Accommodation is fully covered, equipped with all the basics of a household. Be ready to share a room with another person. These spaces are part of the community project, and you will have a great opportunity to contribute to improving these spaces.

The accommodation is in a very beautiful location, close to the lake. Near you will find all the necessary shops and services. The Ride with public transport from accommodation to the office takes 30 minutes and it runs even until midnight every 10 minutes.

The community is quite new, so they are still growing and evolving. Here you may find other volunteers, artists and entrepreneurs. Community events take place quite often, so you will have the chance to fill up your free time.

Pocket money: 160 euros per month

Food allowance: 180 euros per month
