Resumo: The hosting organization is an Association born in 2019 with the main purpose of producing positive changes at the European level. We do this by implementing local and international projects, exchanges, training courses, conferences, events, seminars, debates, conferences etc. Our NGO vision is based on three actions: Caring, Sharing and Doing! We care about people, we share with people and we do all we do, for people, wearing with us five principles that define who we are: desire, positivity, openness, hard work and trying to see always the good in others.
From 2022, the organization has Erasmus+ accreditation in the field of Youth and from 2023 Quality Label on Volunteering which proves our dedication to act and the quality of our work.
Perfil: Age: 18-29
Tarefas: - Cyber Speak
Volunteers will focus on teaching language and digital skills to rural youth developing lesson plans, assisting with homework, and offering personalized support. They will collaborate with local educators and youth groups to pinpoint further support areas, creating programs that cater to these needs. Besides educational tasks, volunteers will organize cultural and digital events to promote European Union values, conducting all activities in English to enhance youths' communication abilities.
Some examples of specific tasks that volunteers could carry out as part of the activity:
+ Facilitating language classes for youth, including teaching grammar, vocabulary, and conversation skills in the target language.
+ Assisting with homework and providing additional support for students who are struggling with speaking a foreign language.
+ Organizing language exchange activities with local youth to provide opportunities for them to practice speaking in an international language.
+ Developing and leading digital literacy workshops to teach youth how to use computers and the internet effectively.
+ Helping youth create digital portfolios to showcase their language and digital skills.
+ Collaborating with local teachers and educators to integrate language and digital skills into the existing curriculum.
+ Organizing extracurricular activities such as language-themed games, movies, and cultural events to supplement language instruction.
+ Creating and updating materials and activities that align with the youth center’s objectives.
- Euro Eco Trails
The volunteers will typically carry out a variety of tasks related to promoting environmental sustainability and cultural preservation.
+ Organizing and participating in nature cleaning actions, such as picking up litter, cleaning up hiking trails, and removing invasive species from local parks and natural areas.
+ Developing and maintaining eco-trails, including tasks such as building and repairing trail infrastructure, creating and installing trail markers, providing trail maintenance, and developing educational materials for visitors.
+ Assisting with the restoration of natural and cultural heritage.
+ Engaging with the local community to raise awareness about environmental issues and the importance of preserving cultural heritage through educational workshops and events, collecting data and feedback, and collaborating with local organizations.
+ Participating in tree planting and habitat restoration projects to improve local biodiversity.
+ Supporting local initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable practices.
+ Documenting the activities through photography, videos and social media content creation.
OTHER ACTIVITIES YOU WILL BE INVOLVED IN
In addition to their main responsibilities, the volunteers will collaborate with the staff in the organization’s regular management activities.
These will include:
+ Contributing to the communication activities of our association.
+ Participating in the preparation of materials needed for each activity.
+ Engaging with the community to gather feedback and suggestions.
+ Assisting in the management and updating of databases and records related to the activities.
+ Leading ice-breaking games and brief sessions during thematic workshops.
+ Participating in the assessment of the impact and overall evaluation of each activity.
+ Creating content for our social media channels and website.
+ Participating in team meetings and contributing to the planning of future activities.
+ Maintaining, improving, and modernizing the Youth Center
Horário: The standard working schedule is from Monday to Friday, starting at 9:00 AM and ending at 4:30 PM, with a total of 7 working hours per day and a 30 minutes lunch break. The weekly schedule is based on 35 hours of work. However, the distribution of hours may vary depending on the nature of activities. For example, the volunteer might start later in the day or work during evening hours or weekends to accommodate events or community activities. In such cases, the schedule will be adjusted accordingly, and any additional hours will be compensated through time off, agreed upon with the Volunteers’ Coordinator.
The working schedule can be adjusted as long as the total number of weekly hours is respected and the changes are discussed and approved by the Volunteers’ Coordinator. However, this flexibility is only possible when there are no fixed-time activities or events that require the volunteer’s presence.
The volunteer is entitled to free weekends and an additional two days off per month. The Volunteer has the option to accumulate unused free days over multiple months, which allows for extended periods of absence.
The days off must be scheduled in agreement with the organisation at least one week before, ensuring minimal disruption to project progress.
If the volunteer is planning a trip or any activity that includes their absence from the location of the project, either during the weekend or during the days off, the staff of the organization must be informed at least two days before the departure.
Condições: Accommodation
The organization will ensure the volunteer accommodation in double rooms. Each volunteer will have individual bed and auxiliary furniture as well as shared bathroom, kitchen and other common facilities (to be shared with other volunteers).
The organization will provide the necessities required for the maintenance of the flat. This includes essential cleaning supplies, basic tools for minor repairs, and other necessary items to ensure a comfortable living environment.
The organization will provide directly, and/or by direct payments the equivalent of 5 EUR per day as daily allowance, converted into local currency based on Info Euro calculator on the date of the payment, for the costs of food and other living expenses of the participant.
The host organization will provide the full allowance of 4 EUR per day as pocket money for the participant.
This money will be transferred every month to the bank Account of the volunteer or handed over in cash, in local currency – RON) in local currency – RON.
If necessary, the organization will cover the visa fee of the participant up to the legal amount of 120 EURO.
For the daily allowance and pocket money, no documentation is necessary. However, for visa-related expenses, supporting documents are required.
Transportation and visa costs must be covered by the participants and will be reimbursed within a maximum of 15 days after their arrival in Romania.
