Resumo: The Association was founded in November 2001 with the aim of creating spaces, possibilities and alternatives for leisure and educational free time for children, adolescents, young people and elderly people in the city of León.

We work with our own identity and educational style in the fields of prevention, promotion of entrepreneurial attitude, youth animation and socio-cultural development. Human rights, intercultural development and environmental education are always present in our programs.

The association has a team of 4 contracted staff and a wide group of volunteers who develop each program according to the needs of our target groups: children, adolescents and young people, with special attention to those at risk of social exclusion and their families.

Our mission is to carry out an intervention of community development and socio-educational intervention, offering a qualified service of prevention and education in leisure time and socio-cultural animation from an own educational style and that bets for the interculturality, sustainability, equal opportunities and networking with local and international entities, especially at European level.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
We are looking for responsible people who are committed to social issues. They should be willing to enjoy the experience, but also to get involved in associations. People who know Spanish and want to improve their skills or who are willing to learn the language in order to further their learning.

Tarefas: (3 vacancies)
HOME: Stimulating the intercultural education from the non-formal education and the informal learning, encouraging at the same time solidarity and tolerance among young people, basically to reinforce the social cohesion within the European Union.

COMMUNITY LEARNING: Development of extracurricular activities, community development projects and socio-cultural animation with young people .

CONNECTING AGES: Planning and development of activities for Alzheimer’s patients and support for their families

Condições: The organization is situated in a small city in Spain, which means that you can walk everywhere.
Accommodation will be in a shared house with volunteers (single or shared rooms) with a kitchen, bathroom and living room. The house will be located near the organisations (if the distance is too long, will be provided a public transport card). Maintenance will be covered by the money that will be provided monthly to the volunteer for this purpose.
