Resumo: (environment)
The association for a sustainable culture of living operates. It was established in 2017 with a mission to promote a sustainable lifestyle through education and by living example. The members of the association are dedicated to sharing our knowledge and experience, that we obtain through continuous learning and experimentation.

We created a sustainability polygon that exhibits different examples of sustainable practices such as the renovation of the house with natural materials, permaculture gardens and recently planted food forest, an innovative system for wastewater recycling, collecting rainwater and a number of small innovations that we proudly show our visitors.

Our model of a sustainable lifestyle is voluntary simplicity. We live and work together in a vibrant community composed of regular members of the association, long and short term guests and volunteers. The average number of people on site is between 8-12.
Group is usually international and of different age groups. This model is attractive for young people who dream about life in connection with nature and share resources and work in solidarity, for the common good. At the association, they have a chance to gain experience and knowledge before they move on to their own projects. Many of them regularly return for a visit.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
The oppurtunity is suitalbe for people who like to work outdoor, love peacful environment, and like to spend time alone, with the book or with themselves. You care for the environment and want to experience alternative lifestyle to the mainstream consumeristic model. If you like long walks, do yoga, or are an articstic soul, this environment is good for you.

Tarefas: The core of this activity is learning to live sustainably a with small group of people. Food soveregnity is important skill in everchanging world. You will learn how to grow fresh vegetables, store food for winter, cook from the garden rather than recepie book, make cheese, fresh pasta and bake bread, water management, composting.
We have a small herd of goats, and you'll have a chance to milk them and care for them. We sometimes receive visitors, guests or organise weekend-long events. At such occasions you will help with hosting tasks.
Depending on your skills and areas of interest you may develop a guide for visitors in the area, describe local points of interest, develop a project, or write blog for the web page. So you will balance outdoor work with desk work. Besides work you will have opportunity for hiking, reading, playing instruments, visit coastal towns.

Condições: We live in a renovated istrian house. You will share the room with another volunteer, and the kitchen and bathroom with everybody in the house. Usually we are 4-5 people in the house. There is a spacious living room, a big garden area, indoor and outdoor kitchen. We use compost toilets, to save water. We cook in turns and provide all ingredients for cooking. The place is very remote, however there are few buses a day that go to Koper and back between Monday and Friday. No buses for weekend. The closest shop and bare are 6 km away.
