Resumo: (container village; communication; culture)

The hosting organization is a creative community and cultural center located in Sweden. It serves as a hub for artists, entrepreneurs, civic actors, and innovators, fostering collaboration and professional and personal growth amongst community members. The organization runs co-working spaces, studios, event spaces and a public container village where individuals can work, create, and connect. The community is highly participatory, encouraging members, locals and associated cultural actors to actively engage in shaping the space according to their dreams. We are a hybrid community that exists online and offline, where we use contemporary platforms to organize asynchronously. Through workshops, dialogue, and artistic endeavors, the organization promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, experimentation, and the exploration of new ideas.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

As a volunteer you will thrive if you are hands-on, proactive, and community-minded, and enjoy working in a creative and dynamic environment. You will have it easy in this role if you already feel comfortable with English and you will be able to further develop your written and spoken skills through copywriting.

You can of course use AI tools to help you correct your texts, however the creativity should come from within you, so the text feels genuine. You will use either Canva or Adobe Illustrator (ideally both), so it is beneficial if you have experience with basic graphic design. For this role it is important that you actively enjoy working with Social Media on your computer and on your phone.

Creating content on socials is not for everyone. If you are a more practical person, please check out the other volunteer positions. Your creativity and visions will be your biggest asset, so we are excited to support your creative development. Please be aware that a lot of cultural productions happen during the weekend and evenings. This means that we have flexible working hours.

Sometimes you will be working on weekends or evenings, but you can then take days during the week off, to compensate and rest. As you will work with a large variety of people, it is important that you enjoy helping others, have an inclusive mindset (we have many neurodivergent community members) and thrive in community settings, where many people need to be taken into account for decision making.

We are looking only for volunteers that want to spend an entire year with us from mid January 2026 to mid January 2027. We currently can’t accommodate different timelines, therefore we would ask you to only apply if you can commit to this timeframe.

Finally, part of your role includes supporting the taking care of the premises. Every team member (both staff and volunteers) has certain responsibilities to help keep the space clean and tidy for everyone.

Tarefas: As a volunteer in this role, you’ll boost the online presence, helping us share our story, connect with, and grow our community!

With guidance from the social media team, you’ll help plan content calendars, post regularly on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, create public events on Facebook, Meet-Up and similar platforms, and support content creation that reflects our community life. You will feature events, artists and community members, helping us broadcast an image of what it means to be part of a creative urban collective.

You’ll also manage stories, respond to messages, and help build engagement online. You’ll work closely with our interns from the Netherlands, who focus on graphic design and videography. Together, you’ll co-create content, and during July and August, the months when they won't be present, you will be able to continue some of their work, learning the tools to produce wicked designs! This is dependent on your interest.

Condições: You will have a private room, either in a shared flat or collective living. In addition to your pocket money, you’ll receive food allowance to buy and cook your own meals, giving you flexibility. For local transport, you can choose between a bicycle or a public transport card for the duration of your stay
