Resumo: The April 23rd Children's Center was established in 2008 but empowered in 2010. 6 Full Time Staff
works for 1500 children. There are several activities and rooms allocated to these activities,
multipurpose rooms, sports room, multipurpose study halls, music rooms, library with more than
1000 books. April 23rd Children's Art Center's mission is to empower children and foster their sense
of self through artistic expression. This expression includes theatre, music, painting, drama play, self
development. Besides these, children attend study halls to improve their school performance and as
well attend language (English) courses. Therefore, our target group is the children who have fewer
opportunities and who are disadvantaged as socio economic.
Perfil: Age between 18-30
Resident in any Programme Countries: 27 EU Member States + EFTA States + Croatia
Has skills and knowledge about art works and/or children works.
Motivated to work in a team
Tarefas: 23rd April Children Center is a body of Tepebasi Municipality (hosting organization). This Center is
serving (free of charge) for the children with fewer opportunities. In the center pres-school education
and art works are being done. The activities which the volunteers will run are as below:
1. Assisting to the workshop leaders in the children center.
2. Facilitating the workshops which are chosen according to the ability, interest of the
volunteer and need of the center.
3. The workshops are:
a. Painting
b. Drama
c. Theatre
d. Music
e. Game
f. Ecology
g. Sport
h. English Speaking
4. Organizing creative workshops with the children
5. Organizing cultural evening where the volunteer present his/her culture to the children
6. Attending to the meetings with the leaders of the center
