Resumo: (youth center)
The open youth center regards itself as part of the local educational landscape and aims at creating favorable conditions for young people to grow up. We consider ourselves as a place where children and young people from different social backgrounds can get into contact and can exchange experiences, both spontaneously or in a structured and moderated way. Our main overall task is political and cultural education. The center’s structural objective is to implement open childand youth work as part of the all-day education in its neighborhood. Objectives in terms of contentare to optimize development opportunities of children and young people by broadening their experiences, enhancing their capacity to reflect and increasing their alternatives for action.
Perfil: Age: 18-30
Skills in organising, flexibility, ability to work independently, working on the computer, interest in working with people of different nationalities, open for foreign cultures and religions.
Tarefas: Our volunteers support us to run the place and help with daily procedures. There is a lot of time to participate in any activities with the kids: play games, just talk and hang out and listen to very loudmusic. The volunteers give our place the extra spirit to make it a happy place for all of us. There are a lot of opportunities to organize own projects depending on someone’s individual skills and interests.
Horário: Volunteering app. 30-35 hours/week
Condições: Accommodation is offered in a private room in a shared apartment
You will live in a cozy shared apartment with 1 or 2 other volunteers. We have 5 apartments in two buildings next to each other that share a big garden. The rent will be covered so you won´t have to pay for it.
