Resumo: The network of Sociocultural Centers of the City Council provides meeting spaces in the different neighborhoods of the city, where municipal programs of sociocultural action converge together with proposals from neighbors, associations, etc...
They are facilities for community use, generally owned by the municipality, where activities are organized that aim to promote the coexistence of neighbors through leisure programs (sports, cinema, theater, excursions, exhibitions), social programs (libraries, literacy courses for adults...) and learning (handicraft workshops, astronomy, gardening, yoga...) They are open to the participation of all residents.
The network of socio-cultural facilities of the City Council, between centers and social premises, has a total of 47 points, designed for community use and enjoyment.

We aim to encourage coexistence between neighbors and promote their participation in these spaces.
The City Council, through its department of socio-cultural centers has a network of 44 facilities, they program annually, after listening to the proposals and suggestions that are presented, a set of activities aimed at the largest possible range of interested parties, thus guaranteeing a global and plural proposal.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
We are looking for young volunteers with interest and motivation in cultural activities and leasure time with children and teenagers. We are looking for youngsters with capabilities of comunication, social skills, enthusiasts, creatives, with initiative and values and ideals about solidarity and europena identity. We value highly the desire and the motivation to participate in this experience.

Tarefas: The volunteers will be integrated into the activities already developed in the Sociocultural Center for the residents of the neighbourhoods; for children, (play room, library, languages, storytelling, crafts ...), young people, (chess, languages, sports, dance ...), adults, (exhibitions, dances, photography, cooking , yoga, excursions, visits to the city ...), open activities, (trips, video ...), and activities related to local and national festivities, (Magosto, Christmas, Carnival, San Juan ...).
We believe that the cultural baggage, the different perspectives and ways of working that a young European could contribute would be very interesting for the different target groups; senior citizens, adults, youth and children, and could greatly enrich the work of the sociocultural center.

Condições: The volunteer will live in a flat, sharing it with other volunteers or students, in a single or double room. Furthermore the flat provides all items necessary for living: a washing machine, heater, blankets, iron, dishes, etc. The organisation will cover the expenses of the flat (rent, supplies, …)
The volunteer will receive a monthly allowance and pocket money (at the beginning of each month) to manage their meals. Local transport will be provided for participants of the centers
