Resumo: (ANIMATION FOR COMMUNITIES WITH MINOR OPPORTUNITIES YOUTH AND/OR YOUNG PEOPLE WITH MILD DISABILITIES OR SOCIAL DISADVANTAGES. SHARING YOUR DAYS WITH THOSE WITH FEWER OPPORTUNITIES. DISCOVER ENVIRONMENTAL DIVERSITY AND PET THERAPY)

The hosting organization is an NGO with social purpose based in Italy. It operates since 2006 and works with children and young people, involving them in educational activities.
We work with the goal of spreading the principles of democracy and citizenship among young people through personal growth activities and active participation in the life of the community; assisting vulnerable communities and promoting European citizenship.

We are local representatives of many ethnic groups in our area and this allows us, through organised activities, to break down prejudices and facilitate the integration of citizens, starting from childhood.
In addition, we are active in the social field, for example by creating recreational spaces for young people using theatre, music, art and sport and offering educational assistance to projects in schools, especially dedicated to disadvantaged groups. We have participated in various Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges and Training
Courses both abroad as partner association and in Italy as a host association. We are also accredited as a sending and hosting association for European Solidarity Corps projects.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
The volunteer is required to be predisposed to interpersonal relations, have an open-minded approach and willingness to learn. Adequate qualification is recommended but not a mandatory requirement whether the candidate has the intention to operate within the social sector and is willing to share the day in a community
setting. The candidate must be a sensitive and empathetic person, willing to live with the community.
At Least a Basic level of Italian is a requirement and motivation to improve the Italian language is important, in order to execute the different volunteering tasks and to collaborate with the other members of the team. Knowledge of English is required.
Then candidate should be open to support the organization in other tasks which can be proposed by tutor and
mentor during the period.

Tarefas: The aim of the project is to increase the social well-being in special communities by helping people in need, especially those with minor opportunity and few social interaction, particularly young people. Organize daily support activities and promote youth social inclusion.

The main tasks to be carried out for this position are:
- Plan, implement and participate in recreational activities (games, music course /plays, sports activities, theatre
and so on)
- Organize or participate in activities at local educational farms and Pet Therapy course for youth who need
relational support
- Spend time with the youth of the community in different environmental setting: managing/teaching the youth
about the good keeping of the house; cook together and assist in daily common house duties.
- Organize the youth spare time outdoor particularly on the mountain, and on nature open space (walking in the forest, discover the surrounding areas… )
- Design and deliver cultural, creative and art activities
- Accompany and support children including those with learning difficulties like school support (homework, tutoring) or psychological support in fragile family situations
- Provide educational support, create an inclusive and stimulating environment, promote personal development of young people, promoting self-esteem in fragile youth, promote solidarity and children’s rights

Condições: Travel to Italy and back, accommodation, local transports and food expenses are covered by the project. Local
transfers will be mainly within walkable distance, local urban services are available if necessary. The volunteers
will stay in the community shared apartment within or not far from the activities site, single bedrooms is available,
with private bathroom, kitchen and living room are common areas.
