Resumo: (education)

Our educational center is a public school. The school teaches infant and primary students whose profile has diversified in recent years. This diversity implies the need to adjust to new circumstances by adapting the curriculum according to the needs, to which is added the added difficulty of the lack of knowledge of the language in some students.

In our center, the teaching staff has decided to work fundamentally through an active, participative, manipulative and competent methodology, giving special importance to the psychological/emotional aspect and to the education in values in a transversal way.

Our mission is to provide and facilitate the integral development of our students in a respectful environment where autonomy, self-determination, responsibility and active learning are the most important aspects.

Perfil: This project is aimed at young people between 18 and 30 years old who have not participated in any European volunteering project (EVS or ESC) before. We will give priority to the selection of young people with fewer opportunities.

The selection will be made based on the attitude, the willingness to participate, the motivation and the commitment to the values of the project rather than knowledge and skills of the candidates .

We value the responsibility, the spirit of initiative, the patience and the ability to step back from interpersonal conflicts in order to deal with them more effectively, and the enthusiasm and willingness to participate in the different activities offered.

No young person willing to participate in our project will be excluded for any reason (economic difficulties; social or geographical obstacles; cultural or ideological differences; sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, gender and gender identity, etc.).

Tarefas: Volunteers are welcome to actively participate in all activities proposed by the school community and to propose other activities that motivate them, as well as to develop personal projects that help them to grow and learn. This participation will always be guided and supported by the teachers in charge and by other people from the school community involved in the project, tutoring the learning derived from this participation. We would like to welcome a volunteer who could help us in the daily tasks of our community. We value responsibility, autonomy, creativity and entrepreneurship.

In the center we have been developing a dynamic of a living and active school for nine years now, so it would be interesting for the volunteer to share with the project a respectful look at childhood where to accompany with love and firmness.

We also appreciate that volunteers like to travel by bike and scooter, and work in our garden preparing the soil, planting, weeding, watering,... It is also necessary for our project that volunteers do not use the cell phone in front of the children.

Some of the activities in which the volunteers will be able to participate will be:

- Accompany students pedagogically in the presence of the teacher they are accompanying at the time.
- Activities programmed.
- Entrance and exit of the school: It is very important to be punctual on arrival at school to accompany at the meeting points.
- Remodeling and naturalization of the school space: Painting of walls, installation of furniture.
- School garden: Planting, watering and harvesting tasks.
- Daily reception of families: Accompanying students to leave their things and enter the classroom and to leave the classroom at the end of the daily activity.
- Being in the playground during recess accompanying the children of the school.
- Care of the school space: Helping to maintain order, cleanliness and structure of the spaces.
- Workshops: Organization and collaboration in workshops (cooking, reading, music, theater, crafts, dance, art, etc.).

- Collaboration in other local volunteer work and with people from other associations that interact with our school.
- Collaboration in different projects developed by the school.

In addition, our volunteers will participate in the following activities:

- Promotion of European and mobility projects and programs among the young people of the Region of Murcia, as well as among the users of our organization.

Our volunteering project seeks to promote the values promoted by the EU and the CES Program, such as solidarity, equality, justice, respect, the fight against exclusion and xenophobia, etc.

Horário: The schedule of volunteer activities will be between 30 and 38 hours per week, from 9:00 to 15:00 from Monday to Friday.

Holidays: According to the rules of ESC, volunteers must have 2 working days off per month.
