Resumo: The Association was established in 2021 with the aim of extending youth programs to young people in rural areas. We are a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to non-formal education, culture, and youth opportunities. The organization aims to improve the level of personal development of young people living in rural areas, through activities and events dedicated to non-formal learning, culture, opportunities, and the promotion of sustainable and responsible ecological behavior among young people.

The organization aims to implement non-formal learning activities aimed at raising the level of personal development of young people. All founding members of the organization are young people from the target group and former volunteers who have participated in numerous projects, with a strong focus on volunteering activities, both within the European Solidarity Corps and in local projects.

Thanks to this we can understand exactly the needs of young people in the target group and also the needs of volunteers, being passed through both roles: The young people who still live in rural areas and the volunteers in ESC projects.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: you’ll be at the heart of our local youth center, a place buzzing with energy. You might start your day co-running a digital arts project, leading a game, or helping cook lunch with the kids. Most days are about 6 hours long and are flexible to let you unleash creativity. You’ll work alongside a young local team (including teenage volunteers) to build programs like a county youth summiy and youth bootcamps – think tech workshops, music nights, or leadership camps that connect volunteers with Romanian teenagers.

It’s hands-on fun: one day you might lead a cooking class teaching sarmale, the next you might organize a barbecue social or an outdoor sports day.
- Activities: Plan events, games and workshops for teens; assist in after-school programs; and co-create the new Constanteen Connect initiative.
- Collaboration: Mentor local youth volunteers, support them in group projects, and learn from their ideas too.
- Creativity: Bring your own skills to the table – whether that’s art, coding, sports or music – and help turn new ideas into reality at the center.

Together, you’re not just running activities – you’re building a vibrant community hub. You’ll see young people light up as they learn new skills, and you’ll pick up a ton of experience in project management, youth work and cross- cultural teamwork along the way.

Accommodation & Community Life

You’ll be part of a close-knit volunteer family. Expect Sundays and Mondays off every week, so you can rest, explore or travel. Besides weekends, you get all Romanian public holidays off, plus 2 extra personal days off per month. In your free time you’ll discover local gems: relax atthe community spa, swim in the village pool, or join bonfires and movie nights. We often throw house parties, BBQs, taco nights or pizza evenings – so you’ll quickly make friends with the team. Everything is in walking or biking range – from supermarkets to bakeriesto shawarma shops. Cogealac has everything you need, just at a cozy village scale.

And let’s talk about our team dynamic: it’s very casual, sometimes a little weird, often chaotic – but always real.
We let young people be themselves at the youth center. That might include colorful language (swear words? yes. lots.), dark humor, and spontaneous karaoke battles. That said: we’re all about respect. We don’t tolerate rude, sexist, racist orintentionally offensive behavior. Jokes? Fine. Disrespect? Nope.
