Resumo: The hosting organization is an association that started in 2011 and is the result of a development center project. In the county there are only a few youth organizations within the field of disability, so we decided to start one ourselves. It’s a regional organization and our main target group is children, youth, and young adults and people up to the age of 40. Funkibator is for people regardless of diagnosis as we want to focus on the activities and not the diagnosis.

Our goal is to become a national organization and establish the organization all over Sweden. We offer different activities in the organization and our motto is that it should be concrete, fun and social. Some of our activities include leisure activities for young people with disabilities, for example monthly activities such as mini educations and inspirational meetings. Other activities have included arts and crafts, movie night, summer camp, social gatherings, music workshops etc. We feel it is important that our target group meet new people and gain a bigger network, both digitally and in real life. We also cooperate with the municipality and offer summer jobs for disabled youth.

2) Leading and supporting individuals in simple practical work as part of our work training and daily occupation programs.

You will help lead, coordinate and plan your own and others' activities – ranging from children’s events, association meetings, creative workshops, and themed evenings. In parallel, you will be a supportive team leader for people engaged in hands-on work such as organizing storage spaces, helping with repairs, deliveries, or setting up for events. You will have ongoing support from your supervisor in your work. This is done through regular contact, meetings, discussions and coaching.

You will also join other teams within Network, such as the maintenance and logistics team, gaining experience in practical tasks like painting, assembling furniture, gardening, or driving with a trailer.
This is a socially rich and dynamic volunteer position where your ideas are welcomed and your leadership can grow.
We are recruiting several volunteers for this project. Each volunteer will be matched with specific responsibilities based on their interests and strengths. This means not everyone will do everything listed in this description. Instead, you will complement one another as a team and contribute in different ways.

Examples of tasks
- Plan and lead your own workshops or recreational activities for children, youth, or adults
- Assist external leaders with preparation, hosting and cleanup of their activities
- Coordinate bookings, rooms, and materials for ongoing activities
- Communicate with new and current activity leaders
- Act as a host and maintain a welcoming environment at Mästeriet

Horário: The volunteer will be working for a maximum 35 hours per week, including Swedish lessons, usually during evenings and weekends, but sometimes on weekdays as well.
The volunteers are encouraged to take courses in Swedish, and the volunteer decides together with the supervisor the amount of time spent on learning it every week.
Besides 2 coherent days off per week, volunteers are granted with another 24 days off for 12 months (2 days off per month).

Condições: he/she will receive food money and pocket money every month, in accordance to the programme guidelines

In the office, you can eat your homemade lunch together with colleagues or other volunteers in our lunchroom, and there are private spaces to change into working clothes if needed. Apart from that, everything in terms of tools and equipment is provided by us in Funkibator or the Network for any task that is carried out by the volunteer.

The volunteer will live in a shared house/apartment with other volunteers, students or workers. They will have a single room and share the bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and other common areas. There is Wi-Fi in the accommodation. The housing is either situated inside the city or in the surrounding towns. The volunteer will be provided with a yearlong bus card or a bicycle to travel from home to the office, depending on the distance in between them.
