Resumo: In cooperation with its partners, the city council takes action to elaborate a consistent educational policy.
The youth service is divided into few centers, including the municipal animation center which welcomes children and youngs from 3 to 17 years.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
We are searching for an active and motivated person with the following qualities:

- Adaptation, communicative and willing to approach to a different audience
- Desire & readiness to work with kids and teenagers ;
- Convinced by non-formal education principles and beneficts
- Sense of initiative and willingness to develop one’s project;
- Good level of French or/and English or motivation to learn French;
- Motivation to participate in European project and become a facilitator for European projects and values.

Tarefas: The main role of the volunteer will be to introduce European dimension and intercultural opening-up to the actions of the educational department and its partners, particularly in the local Municipal Animation Center.

The idea is to raise awareness of local youngsters on European countries and help them to be more open-minded about
multiculturalism through various leisure activities, taking place out of regular school hours.

Promoting European mobility among youngsters of the territory, students of local middle and high schools. For this purpose, the volunteer will be in charge of bringing them informations about non-formal educational programs, sharing experiences during differents meetings or events, giving his testimony on social medias...

Contributing to the activities of the local Municipal Animation Center as a member of the animation team such as arts, crafts, sporting and cultural activities.

Raising awareness on citizenchip and intercultural topics, presenting her country and trying to fight against stereotypes. The volunteer will contribute in creating pedagogical activities, participating in workshops, organizing debates, etc.;

Suggesting new activities for youngsters and local population in accordance with their needs and your expactations (for instance : helping children in home assignments, leading cultural and artistic activities, encouraging sport and good health practises...

All these activities will be discussed with the volunteer and can be adapted according to his/her interests. The volunteer will also be encouraged to implement own initiatives and will benefit from qualified support of the team to do that.

Condições: Living conditions: The volunteer will live in a shared apartment with other volunteers. He/she will have a furnished room. The apartment has 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, 2WC and a living room; it is equipped and furnished to ensure a comfortable stay (washing machine, internet connection, etc.).
Accommodation, services and expenses are 100% covered by the organization.
Financial support will be provided to cover expenses for food (9 € per day). Apart from that, the volunteer will receive pocket money (8€ per day).
