Resumo: The hosting organization is a care facility for people with intellectual disabilities. We have 14 residential groups with a total of approximately 120 people, an extensive day care center with workshops for our residents, and a wide range of services.
Perfil: Age: 18-30
We need a competence in German communication
Tarefas: - Children's group / youth group
The residential groups have a very familiar atmosphere. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in the groups. The children and young people go to school or take a course.
- Training. You accompany them in their free time and with their daily activities – this also includes housekeeping and (light) care work.
Shifts are available here, which are between 6:30 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. and can be individually adjusted.
Night shifts are only covered by full-time employees. Volunteers are simply
there to facilitate special activities (homework support, crafts, sports, excursions; we also have a small swimming pool and a petting zoo).
Daytime activities
In the daytime activities (training center, day care center, petting zoo, village meeting place), everything is more
structured: There are regular working hours, and everyone has their own schedule.
Weekends are free.
Training center:
You take on tasks in the daytime activities and support the young people/young adults as part of their training. This includes activities in the studios such as woodworking and pottery, reading and writing training, outdoor work (garden design, etc.). You can develop your own projects and get creative to implement ideas.
Day care center:
The structures here are similar to those at the training center, but some of the people being cared for are older. The atmosphere is very informal, with shared breakfast, lunch, and rest periods.
Responsibilities at the village meeting:
- Planning and conducting workshops
- Supporting the full-time management of the village meeting
- Contacting workshop leaders and course participants
- Advertising through flyers, posters, and social media
- Follow-up reporting for the press and social media
- Accompanying people with disabilities and providing assistance
- Maintaining social contacts
- Shopping for seniors
- Accompanying cross-cultural events (Christmas market, flower market, excursions)
Animal meeting:
Our animal meeting has donkeys, goats, sheep, and chickens. Responsibilities include
supporting people with disabilities in animal care and stable work. As an assistant during animal-assisted interventions, you can accompany and support the animal educator. Light agricultural tasks and animal care are part of the daily work.
