Resumo: This volunteering project activity focuses on bringing the international dimension to the local youth work of Jönköping municipality. The youth centres are working mostly with children aged 10-12 and youth aged 13-19. They offer both after-school activities for children, and evening activities for youth in Jönköping. Their work needs continuous efforts to broaden and improve understanding and tolerance among youth, but also consciousness about similarities and differences in Europe.

Perfil: 18-30 years old, living in Europe, outgoing, have an inclusive mindset, knows how to respect the cultural and ethnical differences, likes dealing with challenges, willing to take initiative to plan, organize, implement, and/or evaluate activities within youth centers and outside of them

Tarefas: This short-term volunteering project will focus on the summer activities in the facilities of the youth department, with focus on Birka youth center in Österängen area. The volunteers will be working side by side at the youth centres and will be sharing their experience from their participation in European Solidarity Corps. Examples of activities planned in Birka this summer: outdoors activities, BBQ evenings, minigolf, bingo, pizza baking, fishing, etc.

Condições: - Accommodation: Stråga youth center, Gräshagen neighbourhood
- Local transportation: Bus card for the whole Jönköping zone
- Health insurance: Henner coverage (if available, EHIC obligatory)
- Working hours: 30-38 per week, in a varying schedule (e.g. Monday 14-21, then Tuesday 9-16) and occasionally during weekends
- Holidays: 3 days for the volunteering period (agreed with the mentor)
- Financial aspects: Travel costs covered up to a limit depending on the distance, food and pocket money sent via bank transfer together with the travel reimbursement
