Resumo: European volunteers support projects for refugees and migrants.
They help with the organisation and implementation of leisure and educational activities such as language cafés or workshops. Her tasks include the individual support of refugees, for example when dealing with the authorities or everyday questions.
Perfil: Age: 18-30
Tarefas: Volunteers participate in the planning and implementation of integration projects as well as intercultural events. You will create and maintain information materials and take on administrative tasks. Empathy, openness and intercultural sensitivity are important. Basic knowledge of English or German as well as reliability and the ability to work in a team are desirable. The Diakoniewerk offers training, support from an experienced team and space for your own ideas. The volunteers gain insights into social work and can actively contribute to integration.
Horário: Working hours: The volunteers will have a flexible programme, depending on a large array of factors. 6-7 hour/day distributed throughout the day as needed. Mo.- Fr.- a total of 25 hours a week.
Condições: Food/Meals: During the assignment period, volunteers are provided with food/meals free of charge at the assignment location. For the rest of the time (including public holidays and holidays), they receive a meal allowance of €200 per month.
Accommodation: The EVS volunteers will be accommodated in a flat near the hosting project, in a safe area with a room on their own together with other volunteers
In addition, all volunteers receive pocket money of about 180€ per month +200€ (Food)= 380€ and one German courses in Linz, as well as a bicycle. There is also an introductory course / school on social services every Wednesday and a climate ticket for Upper Austria for all public transport free of charge.
