Resumo: We attend to people with mental and physical disabilities (which are our clients) and act in favor
or their living, working and educational interests.
Aim is to include people with disabilities into society and to enhance their autonomy in daily life.
Our approach bases on the principals of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Disabled and on the Upper Austrian Equal Opportunities Act.
Our clients are female and male grown-ups, facing different mental and physical disabilities. We offer to our clients: Assisted Living Opportunities, Mobile Support and Assistance, Work integration & Ability-Oriented activities.
Our ESC-volunteers are embedded in the work and the daily routine of their choosen project group (Assited Living or Activity Group).
Each groups has a teamleader and qualified staff members, with proven qualifications and professional experience in the field of working with people with mental and physical disabilities. On a chaning basis the groups also may get support from trainees, civil attendants, and/or regional volunteers

Tarefas: Assisted Living Groups
Our clients live on these groups. ESC-volunteers who choose to volunteer on Assisted Living Groups support their choosen team in their daily work routine. Which means to support our staff and our clients to run their household, to
prepare food, to support with dressing, cooking, writing, reading, talking, cleaning, etc. If needed
to accompany clients to their work places or in their leisure time (e.g. taking a walk, out- and
indoor activities, handi-craft work, etc.).
Activity-Oriented Groups
This are the groups where our clients „work“. The daily routine is to support our staff and clients in their work environment, their activity tasks and given chores. Depending on a client’s condition the tasks will vary.
Horário: Your working days are Monday - Thursday. And your weekends are from Friday - Sunday. You get 2 days per month for holidays, which you can collect for extanded holidays, e.g. for visiting home or traveling around Europe, meeting other ESCvolunteers, etc. You will also have off at all national holidays, such as at Easter or Christmas.
Condições: Every volunteer will have his/her own furnished bedroom in an shared apartment with a shared bathroom/toilet, living room/kitchen.
The shared rooms are equipped with a TV, free WiFi, and a washing machine. You might also live together with other volunteer or civil servants.
Every volunteers, who has no sufficient knowledge of the German language will take part in a free German language course (levelA1), which is within working time. After successfully finishing the A1 class you will have the chance to take the A1 certificate, at no cost.
If you pass the certificate, you will get the chance to take a German A2 level at no cost in your free time or proceed with learning the free German language course which is offerde via the ESC.
Monthly pocket money:
According the to the Activity Agreements, which is about € 6,00/per day.
Monthly food money:
Additional to the free lunch on your
working days.
Financial support for visa and travel expenses: According to a lump sum.
