Resumo: This Voluntary Project will take place in a municipality on the eastern side of the island of La Palma, Canary Islands. The biggest challenges the municipality faces are its immense unemployment, shortage of public transport, risk of social exclusion, lack of European awareness (Erasmus+) and child poverty.

Perfil: • Young people between 18 and 30 years
• Dynamic, entrepreneurial, outgoing and participative
• Creative and open-minded
• People who like to be in touch with the nature and like to live in rural areas.
• Interested in working in youth projects and with youngsters
• A basic level of Spanish so they can begin to help with basic tasks
• Passionate about culture (Spanish) and youth and eager to discover new cultures and experiences

The volunteer's creativity, and eagerness to contribute will be essential and personal ideas and input of the volunteers will be highly appreciated.

Tarefas: You will work in the social projects of the City Council, helping out with activities for young and old:
- young people in risk of social exclusion
- children, elderly people and people with social needs
- language workshops
- food bank
- language workshops
- promotion of ESC and Erasmus+
- infinite possibilities for your personal project

Condições: Volunteers will have a private room in a shared flat with another volunteers from the same project (4 people) All costs for travel, food, local transport, health insurance are all covered by the organization under the European Solidarity Corps rules. Please, make sure to be able to have your European Health Card before starting the project.
